  1. yeah hate to say it ... I would do 18's on the e36 ... performance will be an issue on 19s unless you change your diff ratio. Again its up to you at the end of the day ... car looks really nice man. congrats!
  2. Not good, still no arrival in the mail "Your item is being processed by customs in NEW ZEALAND. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later. " Bloody customs, time to rattle cage. ... I'm thinking I should of just got it on 2day now .. Ill send ya a PM ... wouldn't mind hooking up with ya mate, nice to have another modding e46 around these parts
  3. not sure about the dawn ... I've only heard there new album ... due out march 20 and cheers ... should be a good gig
  4. gogo turbo boost instead. Bang for buck. f**k spending 10-12k on a exhaust..got waste of money? That price is the valve m3 exaust system. Just a idea of what you can goto. The guys over in the US running 550rwhp need such thing to get that power and stay legal (noise wise)Hmmm anything but a waste of money, personally for me,once im running 10psi of boost outta the SC the exaust and air flow over the intercooler (m3 bumpers airdam) this is money well spent. The other main reason we choose these systems is for legality reason and exaust tone to die for... Of corse I'm talking about e46's here. It's quite easy to spent less .. and f**k it up royally sound wise. SuperSprint all the way for me As others have said, you get what you pay for in this department. hmmm yea, but the AA chipping does brillant job of sorting this out. The dyno'ed torque curve is steap and straight.
  5. hmmm a good tuned exaust system (depends on vehicle) will start around 3k ... you can spend anywhere up to 10-12k on bimmers. Priced mine up ... I'm looking at 4k :/ including headers.
  6. endurance built 3.2 400bhp **** yes

  8. Did the Icelink / IPod replace your CD changer or is it capable of running them in tandem ? Also , does the Icelink provide power for the Ipod.no .. it replaces the CD stacker totally usuing the same input into the head unit. You cant run both at the same time ... I just copy my existing CDs to my iPod anyways. How close is SQ compared to CD through the unit. (MP3 Sampling rates a given) The sound qaulity is exactly the same as CD (mp3 taken into account) NB: I produce music and am a bit of an audiophile, you can take my word for it with confidence. Does the factory unit have any kind of pre-outs for running additional amps for front speakers and sub. What are your plans here ? I believe there is factory amplification units to power the 12/16 odd speakers around the car ... however they are not simple RCA style connections but wires into the unit via the amps. I dont at this point plan to upgrade as im more than happy with the sound qaulity of the setup. If I do it will be just a speaker replacement and _maybe_ a 8inch sealed sub ... but im a little older these days and I've done my fair run of ICE systems over the years. I've been thinking about this for a replacement BMW for the wife, going down the Ipod route as well. Seriosuly I can't give this option enough praise... my flatmate has done a similar setup in his GSR and we both love our new found tune selection! seriously .. CDs are the biggest pain in the ass ..Its great being able to take my ipod off my work docking bay and contnue to listen to my music in the car .. then remove it and place it on my home dock and continue listening there ... I really don't know why I didn't do this mod earlier on! hehe
  9. hehe yeah ... a bit classic really On another note .. just priced up .... wait for it . . . . . . . . . CSL boot .. is going to cost $550 US for the boot and 300ish us in shipping
  10. UPDATE:Not yet, they got bounced by USPS for being to big .. so hes had to send them again ... and I wait another 6-10 days heh ... Precision Autowerks are just waiting on the parts to arrive from aussie by the sounds of it, I went in and changed the m3 bumper from the 02 to the 01 bumper (look exactly the same) I did this because the carbon fiber bumper carrier was a waste of money as I could use my standard carrier if I switched to the 01 bumper. (beleive me I saved a rather large sum) otherwise the ICELink for the ipod went in sweet and so did the frosted clears ps dont do 2day express shipping hehe .. $$$$
  11. I dont know what to say ... I guess wow. Had to happen one day http://www.ebaumsworld.com/2006/02/autopark.html

  13. That one is from Giltrape prestiege. They have it for 155k on the lot .... believe me .. I have thought seriously about getting it ... house first ...
  14. some how I tend to disagree .... I have about 500Mb of M3 photos that says hes wrong ... the GTR 'kit' isn't the most elegant thing on the market... and you could do the whole thing for about 140k NZ anyways ... for 225k id expect a stage 4 engine rebuild with 16psi SC at 550rwhp
  15. [spoil] most of those were models ... [/spoil]
  16. tell RENNSport that mind you .. hes not modding it .. so if he doesn't mind the power loss then 325 it is :thumb: It makes a big difference if your putting a blower on it however ( crank is forged on 330 as well) engine differences... 325 M54 2.5L Tech Data Liter/type 2.5/inline 6 Bore/stroke 3.31/2.95 inch 330 M54 3.0L Tech Data Liter/type 3.0/inline 6 Bore/stroke 3.31/3.53 inch
  17. farkkkk me ... verts are still hell expensive ..... mine (non vert) cost 45k including leather install with 40k ( just run in ) on the clock incl onroad costs ... I got to choose exactly what I wanted ... had to wait 7 weeks, but saved 20k. Have an importer friend.
  18. One thing with high km e46's to check is the rear subframe where the mounts that hold the rear drive train to the chassis. Where the sheet metal supports the load actually get weaker from torque from the diff. They are (like the e36) prone to fracture. Get it checked .. usually the bushes take the loading but is has also been common for the bar bush mount points to crack. This is seen in cars with either very high milage, tracked (raced) cars or cars that have seen a hard life .. For some strange reason history has shown 330's and M3's seem to not be affected as much if at all. There is preventative maintenance that can be carried out to stop this from happening .. see http://www.turnermotorsport.com/image/susp...inforcement.pdf for more details
  19. yeah if you can get the 330 .. he/she will enjoy it that much more. How many k's has it done .. ?
  20. 330ci verts have uprated breaks, forged pistons, more horses (obviously) and a bunch more modification options when it comes to modding the engine, otherwise .. they are the same
  21. nice man .. big ups doin it ya self ... heh .. I dare not touch mine myself
  22. Use the have this problem on my old e36... yeah .. put the nozzle in one resting hook and you _should_ be able to get full bore from it .. if not (as othrs have said) use the one click auto hold on the handle..Only way around it :/ go NZ gas companies for trying to re inventing the wheel again .. :/
  23.
