hey .. What stereo system configuration do you have. The standard one or the BMW 'Business' one.Reason I ask is the standard one has 4 speakers and the Business has 12. Also what speakers are you talking about, Door kickers speakers or rear tray speakers ?

cheers for you words. I'm actually a little worried. .. the new bumper wont really take a front number plate, it will work but i'll need to get a little clever (IE fabricate some proper mounting plates).

hehe yeah I know I know ... been very busy over winter with my band stuff ...They are on there way .. goal is start of summer to finish all stage one stuff. managed to get the suspension and wheels setup properly since I got the thing Nov last year. M3 bumper stuff and Projector Xenons and DDE's are on there way too

yeah ... remember these pics are very very early stages, they will be testing things like the general suspension and chassis setup. They cover them up because they know they are going to be photographed, instead of the car media saying 'oh the new blah blah is going to look like this'. Things missing are the 19inch rims. Final exaust setup, body detailing (grills etc etc) ... still good to hear them going with the v8 power plant tho. now to find those spy shots of the new Z4 m

There is a Fuse in your fuse case for traction control ... however .. I recommend not putting a switch on it as the curcuit is not designed to be switched on and off while the car is running ...

There aint much in NZ ... (pretty much nil) in the way of decent parts ... its all either Ebay or overseas retailers ... A site I hang out on for pretty much all performance needs is www.e46fanatics.com seriously good advice (the correct advice too) come over and say hi ... The US have been doing e46 stuff for a long time now and basically is a mecca for modding e46's. They have all gone through it before and have researched what works and what doesn't. so the hard bits are all done for you! What parts did you have in mind .. I can direct you to what I have found so far ... Light replacements, Wheels and suspension, interior mods, all under bonnet mods including forced induction, standard stereo mods, exaust stuff. you name it .. hope that helps

As standard they are a bit ugly ...however I saw one the other day on 18inch rims they looked about 8inch wide .. with some sort of m-tech bodykit on it .. and man ... it looked fantastic! ... also .. go for the bigger ltr one ...
-
That version has unfortunitly the red 'boarder' around it .. they are currently the only company making LED tail lights for the sedan :/ LED's look fantastic .. but you need to make sure you mate them to the right boot inner lights else you can have colour difference. Its not really the latest look from japan... the japs as usual copied the euros ... all new high end euros come with them ... They have fantastic properties, having a clean solid light instead of a diffused glow. They are brighter without being glarey. Safer in fog and rain.

Speed cameras are already in tradesman vans ... old ones too

You will probably find that he has changed the entire housing .. as you can get a retrofit headlight from BMW ... Yeah it will be the full headlight upgrade. Umnitza Xenon and DDE full head lights with the same self leveling system I have at the moment ..Cheers for you comments guys .. makes the hard work worth it

Ok, Finally got some time to get some shots of the car.... Cruised down to the tr0n on friday and got all of this fitted .. This is the first upgrade in the line of mods. Still coming is: * Full Rieger bodykit * Racing Dynamics / SuperSprint 2.5inch dual tip exhaust * clear tail and corners lights * xenon head light upgrade with DDE's * ESS 8psi Supercharger (later this year) * possibly the brembo GT break upgrade kit(s) (front and rear) anyways, on with the show.. Upgrade consists of Wheels: RacingHart c4 multi piece 19 x 8.5 front 19 x 9.5 rears Tyres: Falken fk-451's 19 x 235 / 35 fronts 19 x 265 / 30 rears Also had the springs upgraded to: Pi Super low's around a 50mm drop. I had to get the gaurds rolls a little but was well worth it Before and some after shots enjoy p.s Ill chuck some more shots up as I shoot them ...

yes im after the tuck I'll be doing a massive before and after thread tomorrow sometime of my ****en 4 month wait on my wheels and suspension let ya'll know tomorrow

You have to ask yourself the question, what do you really want ? Bmw is known as having some of the best handling charateristics for rear wheel drive vehicles in the world ... that is .. until the set up is changed. Forget re-compressing the standard springs .. its just plain dodgey. When lowering a vehicle there is a thing as too low .. you can actually totally stuff the handling of the car buy going too low IE your camber and toe changes .. causing understeer and loosing your infamous BMW 50/50 split Im about to have new springs installed tomorrow in the e46 .. my tyres will sit down so I cant get my fingers under the gaurd .. but its till high enough to have the amount of travel I want for comfort factor. With 18s on an e36 you would want no more than a 35-40mm drop.. anything else will look silly (IMO ) and actually start to go backwards handling wise. Your rear will have a tuck under the gaurd and the front you would want it to sit so when you look at the wheel .. it will run the same 'curve' as the gaurd.

hes wrong right? The M-sport thing is mainly a asain import thing ... its to do with the styling kit .. he is confused, but a lot of people from the US are like that. They dont think that there is a world outside of there own country. When you ring up a insurance company these days .. they even ask if its and M-sport ... so yes it is a classification for later modeled BMW 3 series vehicles.

settle pettle ... while I to don't condone speeding on public roads especially residential areas it was shot at chelsea sugar works .. which is hardly a public road .. infact its the main access road for the trucks about as safe as you could get than other than a track.Nice Vid .. I've seen you e36 around a bit and have always liked it ..
