My last car was from singapore ('95 e36 320i vanos) and boy did I have problems with the electrics. I had to get: various solaniods replaced re-solidered ECU main board Wiring replaced starter motor replaced indercator started doing weird things

not sure yet most likly be for parts . maybe 5spd conversion for the 325ci.what do you need . or do you want to buy it haha .. cheers for the offer ... but ditched my 36 a while back a '05 6 speed 330i gear box on the other hand

I've been reversed into twice :/ One tow barred me the other some old man in a merc who just couldnt drive (when your over 70 .. most people should just accept they shouldnt drive (plus he was probably pissed) He did it infront of me and I stopped him before he drove off..

ahh hes doing good, just bruises now. The insurance has gone through, and I have already phoned up my importer and hes on the look out for a Silver Evo 5 ..

yeah, agreed....interesting note, a girl died 3 years earlier by hitting the land post he _just_ missed with the same circumstances.

Nah that guy is mine and my brothers best mate (hes the guy who owns a modded GSR).Yeah my brother will be fine, still in a bit of shock obviously a bruised shoulder and head, bad seat belt burn, and strained muscle in his shoulder (when he put his hands over to protect his head... The car is insured hes looking at upgrading to an Evo 5.

Well where do I start, My brother was travelling down to Rotorua Monday night. Just out of Tirua he saw a road sign that was pointing straight a head when in fact up over the rise there was a corner. That and a wet road + night time. He rolled the car 5-6 times (we counted from the ground impact marks) through 2 fences and up over a third fence (missing it completely and landing on his wheels. Somehow he managed clear the car over a whole paddock. He narrowly missed a land post by about a foot. My family and I went down and sorted the mess out yesterday and returned him safely home, he's still under observation from concussion but apart from that bloody lucky. anyways... pics

my bad guys you learn something new everydayReason I said this is I was told this by a friend who owns a banana yellow M3 Evo 6 speed ... apart from the colour the car is amazing. Great to drive, the interior was fantastic but was a pretty hard ride tho. But thats what your buying into, a sports cars. He tried the 280hp e36 M3 and then tried the Evo ... big difference. His was fine machincally, I think the whole Vanos issue is basically how they are treated up to 100ks. I had mine replaced at 115kms on the old e36 320i but have had other friends who are still going strong with theirs. (I blame singapore imports personally, and the damp weather they have over there It plays havoc with EVERYTHING)

For the 3series SMG only came out on the e46. Hes talking about e36 M3 EVO model. They only come with 6 speed manuals

Yeah you'll notice the other 40HP quite a bit, and I wouldnt worry BMW have got it right on the 280hp M3 the first time round so the EVO's are pretty much bullent proof. the same motor / gear box can been seen in the Z3m's ... great engine! oh and welcome to the forums!

hmmm ... I might inquire some more about this ... I have basically 3 options * Supercharge current engine (to 360 crank hp) if I want to go stage two or three need manual gear box with HD clutch. (to bust over 400HP) * M3 engine with SMG conversion, (will handle 515rwhp with blower) * M5 engine and 6 speed box (400HP sh*t loads of torque)
