  1. You may find it has been a smoker, so entails typical smoker defects such as burnholes in the seats etc. Grade 4 may need small panel repairs and have minor paint issues, but heres a copy of the grading system: Now I don't want to scare you, and Im sure many people are happy with their imports - but we brought a 1994 320i from a dealer (Not a BMW Dealer btw) 60,000km's, BMW Inspection, Grade 4.5 etc. 3 months later it had HUGE problems, and took the techies 3 months to fix and thousands of dollars later... fixed. My advice would be that if you wait, and "play the game" so to speak, having a max figure, say, $25k in your head, and look everywhere. Trademe, Autotrader, Autopoint, Buy Sell, Dealers, Newspapers.... Im sure you will find one. BMW can only check so much. They advise what will be due for replacement/repair and advise whether to buy or not. They cant predict a multi-thousand dollar repair in 6 months time... Avoid Singapore imports. Electrics + Humid conditions = Chaos. Good things come to those who wait. Good luck, Em.
  2. I wouldnt put a tool near a Limited Slip mate... they seem to fetch enough money around here
  3. Hah well you havent heard of Otago Girls then Yeah our schools going semi-private which is kinda cool Johnnies is a gay school, actual gay. Columba is cool, some nice girls go there. Then there is St Hildas Collegiate which is an Anglican all girls school and we've teamed up with them, all sisterly and shiz. Oh true... then I'll have to put you on the Dunners meet list
  4. Heheh look its G's and Willmo's Emma... the blonde one=! :P

  5. Oh yup Rangi Ruru man were their parents snobby! At Soccer nationals, a man was about to com through the door, then there was a girl from my team, and he just decided to go straight through (no manners) just cos hes a 'Rangi Ruru' Dad! I watched all this and said to my mate "What a rude man" quite loudly what a crackup! St Margerets... haven't heard of them aye are they good at sport?
  6. Yuck, I don't think I want to do physcis anymore.
  7. Alright then I'll try that! But if anyone has any for sale in the meantime... I'll buy them.

  9. You mean here.... or there? There they were $45 delivered but i cant be bothered waiting that long. Have you got some?
  10. Yeah wayy tidier there Will. Whats the "stickability" (haha) of double sided tape though? It lasts well? If no-one was any for sale before I get my plates, then it'll be d-sided tape or screws with white and black caps I guess?
  11. On "Service" cars Andrew? Starange dealership. We only change surrounds when there has been a trade-in.
  12. Dammit Rick, If you were in Dunedin I'd hit that! Good luck.
  13. Hey Guys I ordered my German plates a few days back, and thanks to ze almighty German efficiency they have already been shipped. Checked how much kiwi dollars it'd be to have mounting frames signed sealed and delivered, and its $45 NZD. I just though perhaps one of you guys has a couple lying around that you'd like to sell. Just the standard 21" ones I think. PM, Reply in this thing or email me direct [email protected] Thanks Em
  14. TGC Cricket was up themselves when we played them! Boooorign cricketers to play. The funnest was Wellington Girls College - Theyd yell out (when we were soundly beating them) "Its not over till the fat lady sings!" so this chubby girl would start singing. So funny.
  15. No Michael I am not calling you a bum child. I'm referring to the girls at my school who cruise through with "B Stream" English Maths and Science, then go for Food Tech, Art and Soft Materials technology. Thats a bum child. Whereas us girl in A1 (There are 6 classes, A1,A2,A3 B1,B2,B3) work fricken hard, wind up with many Exc's and Marits then go and get employed and the employers dont really look at Exc's they just see credits!
  16. Oh man Christs if I was a boy I would kill to go to that school it is SO good! Always beats Otago Boys when you boys had interschools! Male equivalent of Rangi Ruru for Girls yeah? Is Christs private or public?
  17. NCEA Is dumb how they let us use txt. I hate txting I like talking on this amazing peice of machinery invented in 1800 god knows what called the telephone! Its stupid how all the "bum childs" can get 180 credits and make us hard working lassies like like idiots with 143/146 credits!
  18. Oh how original. That originality has been amazing me for the past 2 years Damien.
  19. Yeah thats true. Im not leaving until i ace 7th form! sh*t thats good i got 145/148 possible incl. internals. Both + vids would be good haha j/k Im planning on the latter this w.e. along with the rest of the teenage population hahaha
  20. Well thats good isnt it Ashkan? Lol I was thinking I was so suck at everything, and that I didn't deserve to be at the school I'm at but now I hear it all coming from my mates one fail isnt that bad! Gary got kicked out in 5th form what a badass!!
  21. Hey to my fellow young-uns Howd u guys go? I failed one thing, Graphs! Got 9 Acheiveds(!! I was expecting 2) 9 Merits and 3 Excellences. At least all my Internals bar one were M's and E's. Turns out most of us were cocky. Thought we had the system sorted but broke down. I guess life isnt all about 5th form exam results though! Dammit, Churs, Em
  22. Apparantly NCEA is actually thniking about rewarding those who put in the extra effort - sure, a list of E's and M's looks good, and makes you feel good, but alot of us have it stuck in our minds.. i've got 80, cya later matey type attitude. They are thinking of introducing a system whereby a higher mark will give you more credits. Eg say a 3 Credit asessment now, could be a 3-5 credit assessment in the future where- 3 = A, 4 = M, 5= E. I think this would be way cooler, and say 130 credits with more than x at Acheived level would give you NCEA Level x with A overall, to replace the GPA. NCEA - I like it. I never knew school cert, but everyone older than me said NCEA sucks bums. Well I don't think so. All systems have faults, and loopholes and the shiz so if you figure out deeply how the system works, play by the rules and put in the effort then NCEA can work for you. Not you work for NCEA. Well both but that is not the point.. it works for you yea. Ah the frustration you guys know what i mean!! I guess it's all down to the induvidual, and school policy- what level of acheivment they expect from you. Will excellences + merits really put you in a better position? - dont doubt it for a minute.
  23. I've heard that Taurunga Boys is very highly sporting, afterall its your logo that is a guy swinging a discuss, right? Did you go to any national tournaments for TB's? Do you know any 7th form cricketers? Yeah I've got the idea of LLB/BComm (Management) at Otago, but I think Law is gonna change for Management too. My Dad is a lawyer so it runs in the family but he doesn't find it amusing. How do you find correspondence? Thanks, nope im 6th form. I can't wait till 7th form, this year apparantly is the most difficult, changeing pretty much from a girl into like um uni student woman thing... + difficult academically wise AND have to be on my best behaviour for Prefectship next year! Thanks Jacob, I hope so too!
  24. Exactly, Jacob did you go to Taurunga Boys? Taurunga Girls Cricket team was a funny bunch to face at nationals.. I worked hard all year, regardless of whether my school expected it or not (and they made clear that they do) and acheived every single credit possible (I picked all the subjects that didn't give alot, but rewarded you with Exc's and Merits if you were willing to go the extra mile) Got 9 Excellences, 7 Merits, and 1 Acheived (Pissed off about the acheived) Total of 72/72 Internal Credits gained. I was always told not to stop at 80 credits, to continue working hard. I can't really understand why alot of students just stop once they've got 80... when theres another 70 credits available.. It sure looks good on your CV. Oh yeah, and Ashkan,. after I read your thread I tripped up the stairs to the garden then the washing line decided to come knock me on the head. Must be a disease! Hope ur ok today!
