  1. I actually had tears in my eyes from laughing so hard! Standing Ovation from here!!!
  2. Try heading north... you can drive kenworths through some of the rust holes up there... SBS or ABC still got "bush mechanics" on tv? Makes ya scared to be on the road north of New Norcia. But happy not to be in the territory! I miss my homeland sometimes...

    Dream Job

Brilliant ideas! Did my yacht training in NSW years ago and raced blue water... hope you want long hours and little money Done it, hope you want long hours and longer hours and dealing with a$$holes. And then you have to take them somewhere. And be the sober one. Sister did that... 22 hours a day and still had no money... heaps of fun tho! Much better idea!Keep looking/thinking... When I was a kid I wanted to be a truck driver... Since then I've been a programmer, boardsailing instructor, spray painter, barman, alignment tech, music manager, salesman... etc... I can't even remember some of the stuff I've done I'm 37 now and a truck driver Go with the gut feeling... only you will know when you're happy with your lot.
  4. Hmmm... Carjam doesn't report it as an (m) like they do with others (prob just ltsa slackness). Or because it was a pom import? Engine number unknown aswell....hmmm
  5. Nice car... want photos! The brake linings thing is just a sensor that gets worn and not often replaced (in e34s anyway). You can just cut the wire and twist them together or get the sensor from a dealer. best place for part numbers and info is http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/ There you can enter the last 7 numbers/digits of your vin and it will tell you all the parts relative to your car. Without your VIN, you can browse parts for your car starting here f'rinstance, your brake pad sensor is PN: 34 35 1 182 064 and they're $16usd and mine is this and about 3 bucks cheaper!
  6. b**tards... how can they put the e34 M5 against the 3.0CSL in the first round????? (yes, I know its random)
  7. We have a tui sign about 10ks from here that says "Auckland is a supercity..."
  8. fair call... didn't realise there were that many ti models around...
  9. according to admin on that forum.... yeah, corners, bonnet, fenders... unless he's confused between coupe and compact
  10. Yes, I knew that... ever looked at buying a herald? Try finding one without rust.

    Veitchy

Veni, Vidi, Veitchy I came, I saw, I kicked her in the back!
  12. pretty sure he meant "rust"j/k, has been a dream of mine for years to own a factory flip-front!
  13. ok...proper response: Did you make sure the wheel was bolted on straight? no sh*t on the hub etc? was the spare rim the right offset for your car? And posting "check your dizzy" in every other thread is a legitimate response?
  14. checked your dizzy cap and rotor?
  15. He should be parked in the ditch to make way for the mighty e34 then!
  16. Is that a "only do donuts anti-clockwise around roadworks" light?
  17. I used to use skull candy smokin buds but after 4 sets on warranty dying in one ear, and losing ear rubbers, I gave up. Now I have some panasonic $40 ones and they have lasted 6 months! These. They have survived road building, dont fall out easily and the rubbers dont fall off! I've heard good things about "Ultimate Ears" (UE), now owned by Logitec. As you can see here and here they sort of range in price.
  18. If that's a dealers sales pitch the best I can do is... bargepole-----------------------> mustang edit: as an (australian) owner of some genuine aussie muscle, a gt rep with a c4 and a non-tacho dash... meh, had about 10... I'd prefer a genuine 302 fairmont
  19. Anyone here own one in the welly area? Saw one today on raumati straights while cruising in my truck... mmmm
  20. Excellent write-up. I was 10 minutes late for work and still didn't finish reading it until I got home! When tyres are at speed, the tend to delaminate when run flat (even just slowing down from high speed). I'd guess the tread fell off. The sidewalls are also one of the first things to go, from the inside out, which is why, when you have a puncture fixed, they'll often tell you it was "run-flat" as the interior sidewall is thin and worn. Even if you just slowed from 100kph. Alot of people think that the fitters are just trying to sell tyres, but it's really a huge safety issue (thin sidewalls bulge and split).
  21. Bugga, I work 6 days... but might drop in to have a squiz on my way home if people are hanging around QEPark after 1-2ish
  22. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...931&page=19 and ask BMW Performance, I got mine in a matter of hours... on a saturday!
