  1. He had it for 10k last week. Dunno if I would touch it tho. First time I saw it was a coupla days/week after it arrived in Kapiti (2 months ago?) and it was at an auto-sparky my father-in-law uses.... with the ECU sitting on the head and wires everywhere. Checked it out on carjam at the time because I had seen it on TM before but this time it had a personalised plate.
  2. Of course the touring is number 1... It's an e34!
  3. And here he was dreading getting a wof for ages... lol! Hi
  4. Nice... the poobetter isn't bad either
  5. Saw that happen once... dude hit samoan in the head with the bat... the samoan took it off him and the dude went to hospital.DON'T carry a bat (or any other weapon) unless you want to be on the receiving end of it. Best thing to do is get in your car (if possible) and drive to a cop shop.
  6. Doesn't tell you any of the factory options tho either... Wikipedia can tell me how much oil it needs

  8. put the last seven VIN bizzo in here and wait...
  9. ummm... No... they'll issue a notice to suspend and when the agency gets around to it, they'll send someone.,Sometimes the notice is issued and the police will pull you over randomly and hear you have a notice to suspend and take your licence... the "start paying your fines first" thing ended a year ago...
  10. Normally you don't "reset" these sensors (linings, coolant, washer etc) just check the connections. I know the washer fluid one in mine (and a lot of e34s) is usually a touchy sensor... I rotated mine and it's stopped coming up when the washer bottle is full. Have you looked at the sensor plug/wiring on the brake system? I can't say I have done this particular one myself.
  11. As a truck driver I spend 10 hours a day on the road... Waiting for out-of-date traffic info from a radio station is stupid. (I spent 45 minutes trying to get out of Wainuiomata yesterday because I forgot to turn my scanner on)There is also the fact that people like me (on the road 10+ hours) get to see a fair amount of vehicles doing stupid things, and when you hear that that vehicle is stolen over the scanner, at least you can point the cops in right direction and, hopefully, some f*ckin ar$hole thieves will get locked up. There have been a couple of times in my life when I've seen some sh*t happen and have heard about on the scanner and then rung the police about because they've been looking in the wrong place... Never bothered to use it for criminal sh*t because 1) I'm not that way inclined and 2) you can't outrun a radio Never, ever, ever used it to avoid a checkpoint or random stop. or anything else. Maybe they should just make scanner usage licenced like hf radio.
  12. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=22733 NZ new... Needs a little work...
  13. I know what you're saying and I admit it but I know I would have got more for my SLR if it had the 308 it came with than I did for putting in the 327, TH400 and the 9 inch... meh, just me I suppose... not a purist, just sometimes the numbers that match are the thing to the buyer, not whats in it and what it does. BTW, the 308 became an artificial reef and I once had a $700 xb coupe that I sold for $4000 because it had the engine out of an XBGT. body had more bog than steel.
  14. They're popping up outta everywhere!Anyone wanna m-power my 525? I know that if I bought an e34 M5 it would have to be like my old SLR torana, genuine! $15000 worth of engine in a $2000 shell might get you $7000 from someone with the $$$ if you're reaal lucky. Thats just me though... and I've repowered/lost money on some serious crap in oz. I just find that repowered cars never fetch the same money as a genuine. Good luck though... I hope someone loves your car as much as you did/do The thing with e34 M5s is that they were the last "handbuilt" M5s.. that's what makes them collectable... like a GT falcon or a GTS monaro from 68. Yeah, I could build one from the parts and quicker, but is someone going to pay the same $$$?
