  1. ^^ the truth without spending big money
  2. especially wierd given i recently updated and am running iOS5.x now and not the iOS4.x that it shipped with. didnt do it on that either for the record. link me to a thread that it does it to yours if you want and ill see if it does it on mine
  3. all i can help you with is that i know that an auto or manual ECU is identical except for the fact that you would have to trick the auto ECU into thinking its permanantly in neutral. its just a case of grounding a particular pin and quite basic. used to know what pin it was but its been 3 or 4 years since i did the manual conversion on my M20. easiest to get a manual ECU if its going into a manual shell.
  4. The last two are quite weak IMHO
  5. depends where its rubbing, if its rubbing the strut it wont help. if its the chassis itself then it may help, but then you may have issues on the other side of the wheel, such as it hitting the driver/passenger footwells and/or the front of the gaurd and our the outside top of the gaurds. this is solved by flaring the gaurds and not using full lock
  6. I use safari on ipad actually am right now, and i cant see any difference to using it on a computer except that i have to log in manually every time and that i cant upload photos obviously. Viewing them is fine though. Mind you im using iPad 1...
  7. That guy that sits with his legs out the window and torso out the roof is an idiot, but other than that pretty cool if your into that sort of thing
  8. As i said in your other thread, just do a search and read. All the answers you need are at your fingertips allready
  9. 1.23 million views.... haha
  10. i wouldnt bother to ever skim BMW rotors. they are surprisingly cheap for OEM ones from the dealer
  11. There are literally thousands of build threads with at least 10 here with all the info you ever need. try googling or doing a forum search on any one of the multitude of E30-dedicated sites or BMW general ones
  12. The letters and numbers are pressed into the aluminium/steel (actually im curious what it is now...) and then i think they are then painted. identical process to plates.co.nz up to this point in anycase. however these ones have NZ stickers on each end, which is the same as how they do it in germany etc (so im told) to get thier D-euro thing. PPNZ are laser etched, and fade after 3 or 4 years.
  13. I know why you say this and in most cases I would agree, but i disagree this time. if it is the cable im thinking about which is the main feed to the fuse box, id rather not have the car completely die from a blown fuse while im going 100km/h after a particularly nasty bassdrop thanks.
  14. even at $19,000 for two, thats still $9500 each. I would have been happy if i had got half that for my iX. Besides... I only know of two people that has any use for more than one functioning E34 touring anyway lol
  15. you would be surprised how big 1m3 actually is. thats about 40 standard computer towers, or about 18 CRT computer monitors... theres no way a house hold would have anywhere near that much. if its easier for you to visualize, your wheelie bin is 240L (so a quarter-m3) The reason why there is no free days anymore is because if you want to do it legally, it is economically impossible to not charge for some equipment, unless you are prepared to make a loss on it. this is because you are not allowed ship containers of TVs to Samoa and Indonesia etc to sell which is called dumping and banned under international laws and very enethical, and the processing of the glass properly alone is costly, let alone shipping it to a proper facility in australia or southeast asia The people that ran the eDays in wellington got into a lot of trouble for doing that, and is why they dont happen anymore. this is probably the same in other cities.
  16. surround will fit and is really just a mounting plate so you dont have to drill your plate
  17. yes, in fact i have some black ones spare here you can have. unfortunately i dont have a car in wellington so i cant drop them round to you, but give me a text and you can pick them up, i live about 2 minutes from you if that. 0273079322
  18. just read your OP, do you still need tech2 clips for the side skirts? you ucan get them from BMW for $2 a piece, cheap as chips.
  19. actually, the issue is that they have usually been molested in some way before i got them. they only two that havent been dodgy and never broke down on me were the only two that were 100% stock standard. unfortunately with so many flatcaps out there these days, finding a good one is becoming harder. mind you E46 is still out of thier price range ha
  20. ive owned umpteen of them and still think they are unreliable. lol
  21. fair enough. it is a high ratio all right!
