Hey guys. saw a crashed E36 while i was out today. Not sure what it is, front and rear ended so panels are all rooted. However it does have a set of 1 piece schnitzers on it. Considering going over and investigating but as the schnitzers are probably all that are salvagable out of what i wouldnt want and worth selling, it kinda depends on what they are worth. Assume they are in average condition, what is the going rate and are they likely to sell quickly? Anyone want some?

let me guess you read about this on a stateside forum? ive asked at repcos before when i wanted some for my M20, and they had never heard of it and wasnt in any of thier cataloges

nope, car is hibernating till spring/summer time, mainly for weather purposes. It cranks over etc though, and i know the real reason why its not going now.

do you know how to go about at b28 stroker? totally different to a b27 stroker.

Got any pics of the back seat for interests sake? i was considering doing that in my E30 but i thought i might regret it.

the one on the right is just another tech2 on BBS imo. Nothing to make it stand out from the pack. the one on the left is pretty nice though, wouldnt mind more pictures of that

intrested to see if you find some. ive tried the bulbs michael mentioned in my low and fogs and they are white at best. (despite the name, they claim to be blue). still.. thats better than yellow!

yeah i tend to get a bit carried away with it. its probably my favourite part about the car thus far. We shall see if that changes once the engines running ha. People have mixed feelings when it comes to caps. I have a decent battery, and it still pulsed the lights when the bass hit and i had it cranked up. the cap got rid of that. at the end of the day, whether it makes a noticable difference or not, there is no question about the fact that it takes strain off not just the battery, but helps protects all the cars electrical system from power suply pulsing, something the various ECUs dont like. thats reason enough to buy one in my book. your 1300W subs are likely to be the same or worse than my 1000W ones with the amp you plan to run, as you are running them off a smaller amp than me, and also because yours have a higher max power rating they are likely to be less efficient. id be happy with your setup as a starter point though

possibly. havent done it like that though. i think you need to take that pin out before the pedal will move enough for you to remove the spring. cant hurt to try though. They can be a bit of a bitch to wiggle out I think my one had both? (Jap 320i auto as well when in left the factory). that bar that runs along the back will not come out. ive tried. i wouldnt touch that if i was you. it does its job fine, and to get it out youd have to remove the dash and then the heater box etc etc

Cant remember model numbers, but its the generation before their newest range of stock. Sony Headunit CD/Aux etc, 6.5" 160W (ish) fronts running straight off the headunit. rear signal goes to a 350W 2ch amplifier and then to the 320W 6x9s on custom spacers on the back parcel shelf*. Then i have 2x rear facing 12" 1000W subs each with thier own 800W amplifier, in repco boxes for now untill i can be bothered investing in something better. All wiring is gold laced (yes damn expencive, was brought at this point so i didnt have to relay wires when i get some better quality speakers etc), the main power cables are all 0 gauge iirc.. Power goes fromm the battery through a fuse (forget the value) and then to a 5Farad Tsunami Capactior, and then 4Ga to the amplifiers. Cap and all amplifiers are earthed in the same place. ideally the headunit would also be earthed in the same place too to prevent distortion/feedback but i didnt do that. Oh the subs are individually swtiched too (using the REM output on the headunit) so i can switch off one or other or both of the subs to help conserve battery power when idling in traffic or parked up. Also installed an aftermarket voltmeter to keep an eye on everything. Its a great setup. the biggest restriction in the system is the recordings on my ipod. they become crappy at around the 30 mark on the stereo, but CDs will play pretty loud.. i dont play my music exessively loud, and havent experienced distortion on it at levels you would comfortably listen too. Also tune your amp for the subs and/or speakers. play around with the settings on them untill you are listening to stuff the way you want to! *when fitting 6x9s you must use spacers. DO NOT cut into the metal underneath the parcel shelf. this is structural, a WOF fail, and virtually irreparable. its part of the shell of the car too so its not like you can unbolt it and put something else in

Its irrelevant if he doesnt mind the saftey... hes not the one coming in the opposite direction at night time and gets blinded by them Unless of course a proper HID conversion has been done the legal way with new lenses etc.

I run all Sony gear through out my car with the exception of my capacitor. Its not the best quality stuff, but imo the best bang for buck. people will probably disagree with me though. One sub is adequate in an E30, but i run two anyway so i can crank it up when i feel particularly obnoxious Can detail my setup if you like.

easy as. find the pivot that connects the pedal lever to the L shaped direction shifter, unclip the u clip, and slide out the pin. then look for a small spring and take it out. this can be a bitch. then look at the top pivot for the pedal and you will find a 17mm nut on one side and a torx head on the other (iirc from mine. yours may be different depending on year etc). Unbolt that and then the brake pedle should slide out. If you are staight replacing a manual peedal for another one, assembly is the same as removal. If its part of a manual conversion, fit manual pedal in place using the longer manual pivot and then the clutch pedal as well and do up. Then connect the pin and u clip and adjust as necessary. Should make sence when you are in the drivers footwell.

yeah you may be resricting your market a bit bringing in S54s. they may be good and all, but its possible the E30/E36 guys will be less keen on them, and tuned E46s arent big here yet. Bring in as many S50s as you can imo
