Just a note i didn't realize my discs covered that much of the wheel space... You can't actually see anything but disc! go my front brakes! 90% of the people where single occupants only, those that did have a passenger in the car their times where about a second slower with the passenger in the car. Bring on next year!

Welcome to the Family man... 9 months and roughly 10 grand... not including the cost of the 205 or 406 is what i've spent getting my pre-built racecar up to a race standard.... I've got atleast anouther 15 grand min before i'll be happy with it... more like 20 - 25... Ecu = Save you pennies... I can ask my friend who has a Haltec E8X sitting in his lounge doing nothing how much he would sell it to you for... Otherwise save up, talk to people who know wiring/good at electrical stuff, and start a game plan for it. What aftermarket ecu's are other E30 turbo boys running? If they are running a haltec / link / what ever, ask if they have redone the loom, do they have wiring diagrams they can share with you. Wiring = Lots of work, but damm would it be worth it... De-loom and make a new loom... Running only what you need. Espically if your going to be looking at a new aftermarket ecu, spend the next 6 months planning the new loom. Talk to others that have de-loomed their car/running aftermarket setups. IT will be one of the best things you can do... make it look all nice and tidy, anouther bonus is it saves weight! My friend REMOVED 7.5kg of excess wiring from his car. Project cars = help from others! Other projects cars = you assisting them to learn or get IOU's for your projects... Bimmersport Family

you could pull the drive out and plug it into a second machine and wipe it... If you want i can do it for you...
-
thats because french cars rock... Apex is now finding this out!
-
i got a 96 406 1.9 diesel for 3 grand... 66ltr gas got me 960km... plus it can tow the 205 on a braked trailer, and has a massive boot for parts haulage!
-
dyno's = tuning tool... do all your development on the same dyno and your sorted...
-
car color + apex = ginga mobile!

better link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dban/files...86.zip/download formatting of the drive really doesn't do too much even depeting partitions - resizing and reformating you can still recover with out toooo much effort...
-
i'll find you a good program... you basically need to fill the drive with 1's and 0's a few times otherwise it's very very easy to recover... most standand wipes are 3x of both to make it generally unrecoverable... government wipes are 10x and military wipes are 32x but they usually melt the drives...

Maybe slap her on a trailer, bring some beers, and get the Auckland crews to come and provide some spanner, diag. time...

clean slate = sh*t load more time.. you would need to get a NEW car to have no problems with it and even then thats not a given. Look at Apex's wagon... it wasn't "worked" very much, but how much has HAD to be spent on the suspension as it needed replacement? It's all teething problems. My 205 is the same... fix something only to find 4 other things wrong... I missed many a self-imposed deadline for a certain race because we found even more problems when we where fixing other things. These things where not performance related issues. Have a good look at the posts recently and coming up... How many of then are, i have this noise, it's doing this, help my car is broken... How many of them are performance modified versions.... Once you get it sorted it will not give you many problems. Sure it will take some more time and no doubt some more money, but how much are you going to loose on selling up??? how much are you going to spend on a replacement car??? what problems are you then going to have to fix??? How much do you need to spend on the new car to get it running properly??? The saying of Devil you know really comes in here... there is nothing saying the car will not be reliable once the teething problems are sorted...

graysonline.co.nz currently have ex-lease/old stock HP and IBM laptops for sub $300
-
call dell... or ask online...
-
either way you looking at the expensive parts to repair/replace
-
the worst is when your repairing a pc and come across the persons dodgy photos... we have had a person come in to the helpdesk when i was there complaining about speed and lack of hdd space on his work laptop... reason for lack of space = 9.8gb of porn... anouther was naked photos of the male user and close ups... ahhhhh
-
That sounds really really weird as cpu/chipset shouldn't impact the software os installation. I've taken a few laptop drives and run them as primary drives on other machines, even swapped out sbs installs to other newer boxes... We have swapped hdd's from p3's to p4's to amd athlons to dual cores as it's got some lovely licensed software that they lost the serial key to and the company no longer exists... whooo fun times... Typically new machine = fresh install of everything but you can't always do that... I know win2k play that nicely nice with swapping boxes, but a repair install would typically fix that... meant you kept all your software as installed...
-
yes you can... you just need to install the required drivers that are missing
-
don't bother... maybe look for a broken model on trademe... But good luck... Typically if its out of warranty and it's a laptop it's time to strip it - sell the parts and buy a new one...
-
Or just have it on autofocus, stick your hand with camera out the window and snap away!By moving the lens with the car you can match speed with the object
-
Like my pic of rapido... No photoshop zoom effects on these bad boys...
-
