Love the really heavy instrumental stuff but HATE growling lyrics... Start listening to some great songs and the second some twit start growling it ruins it completely for me... Anyone care to make some suggestions?

i think it was the old BTCC series where they had weight penalties for the winner of the previous race, they worked it out to be something like 20kg (or something like that) was equal to .1 of a second around most of the tracks as a average

the "Open Series" has restrictions?

have you unplugged the sky box from the phone line???? you don't "need" the phone cable plugged in to run sky digital, my sky or my ski hd. Unplug the sky box from the phone jack and see if it improves... if it does then unplug your main phone remove the filter, and plug that into the phone jack where the sky box is, plug the sky box in to the phone jack and see if that improves it. If it does then go buy a $14 splitter/fliter from tricky dicky and use that... Anouther note: physical distance to the exchange don't mean jack poo with the actual line distance to the exchange... It all depends on how the cables been run... Old work was 400m from the exchange box but we where 4.9km away from the exchange in line length.
-
sorry when i was referring to the line i was thinking from the exchange to your house... not within your house... the number of people connected to the same line you are (i.e. the line you connect to the exchange with) will effect your connection. i very simple terms each line only has a certain about of data it can contain more people connecting to it the less you will get... Think of it like a water pipe with other pipes running of it... the pipe can only handle a certain amount of water, everyone before you will take some water some more than others leaving you with whats left... It's part of the reason why some ISP throttle peer to peer / torrent downloads during peak time when everyone wants to surf the net... the peer to peer apps suck so much bandwidth it doesn't leave much for everyone else.
-
you have to look at a lot of other things also. Number of people on the line, usage on the line, etc... Also do you get a different level of connection speed at different times? I.E. on and off-peak times? We had a massive problem at my old work where the line was damaged although it worked fine until a certain load was placed on the line and at which it would drop. The line when tested was within telecom's acceptable limits and was not workable. Things to try would be a different router, differance account if you can (they have a few options like extra line checking on the account which will reduce speed - or account restrictions - although they say they don't) Talk to orcon.

Just a question... I've always found the counter swinging brake and accellerator pedals a pain for heel-toeing... Would it be an option to reverse the swing to a top swing pedal??? I know it's a trademark feature of the BMW's maybe make the brake and clutch a bottom swing pedal?

The really fun days are when it's -20F and it's got a -25F wind chill.. effectively -45F at that time...Â

NZ gear is expensive relative to the stuff you can get over there for much cheaper... I grew up in New Hamphsire in the states we would regularly see negitive numbers on the thermometer and those numbers where in F not C... The thing you need to really look out for is the wind chill factor. Make sure anything you buy will protect you from the wind. A -5 degree F day is ok, it's the -20 degree F wind chill that kills you... Invest in a really good Jacket, spend the money on something like a North Face modular jacket. (http://www.thenorthface.com.au/secureshop/...p?ProductID=528) It will allow you to buy 1 jacket that will let you get by on the warmer days where only a vest/light jacket is needed and snap in the other parts to make it a full winter jacket.

If you let me know what "data" you are worried about loosing i can tell you all the folder paths to that data. You can plug the vista drive into the machine as a second drive and then copy all the data over.

Just to give you an idea of costs of cages... The crome-molly one in my car that Mark Herbert built for himself - i asked him on a rough cost for if he was to do it for a customer, he said it would be roughly 6-6.5k (included though firewall and tower bracing). My raceteck 4009 seats where roughly $1000 each, 6-point harnesses where a couple hundred each.Don't forget an intercom amp, headsets, touring headsets, fire extinguisher (do you want a single can or a complete incar/bonnet system), Neither of those cars are road legal...Â

you wouldn't believe the number of people that don't get that...

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-250967993.htm He has the 17's TSW venom's and the lowering spring/shocks for the car also stored at my mechanics. The owner of it is the President for the Auckland Peugeot Car Club, has something like 8 peugeots and 1 targa racecar. No money spared on it...  looks like this when lowered with 17's It's a very quick unassuming car = no police harassment, and under rated performance. Bit more than your looking at but: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-238747315.htm Much better value for money than a A4 same engine also...

How about Smith and Smith Northshore... Was going to be showing up around closing time to pick the car up after a drivers window replacement, they where going to leave the key in the front coil of the car as there was no way i could make it from work to there before they closed on a friday. Showed up and couldn't find the key. Found a few of the guys in the workshop still having a few after work beers, and asked them. we couldn't find the key anywhere. Not only wasn't the car locked but the key was missing. They ended up calling the guy that placed the key who had left for the day, and he had placed it on the wrong car... He had placed the keys in the coil of an EX-EMPLOYEES car, who was there having a beer with the guys... my car white 306 peugeot... his car black citroen... the guys excuss... well i knew it was a french car...

Matt knows the efforts i've gone through with my car... Don't buy a pre-built car with the intention of it being turn key... no mater the condition... you will always find things you will want to improve/change/find need replacement... I was thinking about this - for the 2wd thing... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/S...n-251382368.htm Race car from brand new, seam welded body, rose jointed suspension, Koni coil overs at each corner, blade adj anti roll bars, massive willwoods, 6 pot front. 2.4 litre stroked Mitsi evo, through Getrag (BMW-M5) 6 speed to Ford ETC 7.5 inch diff, Porsche half shafts. Autronic computer with traction control, 2 stage boost, auto water spray on intercooler etc. Xplosafe petrol tank; runs E10 fuel. This kinda pays homage to all your options really... Ford Cossie, BMW M Series, Misty Evo Â
