  2. so what sort of power gain would you get by simply swapping a pre f/l manifold for a f/l manifold?
  3. still sitting round here guys, any takers?
  4. i like it. i somehow think it needs more red to make it look faster ...
  5. Hello and welcome. Sounds like you have a pretty sweet car. please try not to use 'txt language' - it's too hard to read
  6. Hello this is what i am after, number 1 in the picture, or the whole setup because it should come off as one. It's from a pre f/l E30 and it is what connects the diff to the drive shaft. here is the one i am replacing, if you want to swap or if someone needs it.
  7. sweet, thats what i figured from that pic, is good to clear it up. the 2 small screws that hold that alloy block (#8) on appeared at a glance to be part of it.will tackle it 2moro and see how i go
  8. I'm dismantling my M20 head and need to remove the gear wheel (#4 in the pic) from the front of the cam shaft, i'm not 100% sure of the proper way to do this, can anyone advise please.
  9. looks a bit like it's going to be a BMW people mover. lol
  10. see the bracket that goes between the rocker cover and the intake manifold, the one with the hose going through it? yeah that one, i want one, please let me know if you can help.
  11. yeah i did them myself, because the pistons were in good nik I only needed the seal and the boots & clips. got them from BNT for about $14 per corner. Obviously i painted the calipers also.depending on how bad yours are they may need to be honed too.
  12. So ... I decided to fit my bonnet pins I marked and drilled the holes for the pins to mount into. (between high and low beam head lights on each side) I then began drilling holes in the bonnet Finally i marked and drilled the small mounting screw holes and stuck the suckers on I failed to mention all the die grinding and steel cutting i did with my dremel to get these holes perfect, heres a blurry pick from underneath the bonnet.
  13. heres a quick update, i have been flat out working and working on the car ..... The head is off the car, it has been tested for hardness and i will be dismantling it 2moro before i send it to get skimmed and have the valves seated. you can see the 3rd cylinder along possibly has a fuel valve thats not sealing properly. Weathered Waterpump Intake Manifold needs polishing up, this is the before pic, after pic will come once i've done it. haha Here is what the exhaust manifold looks like now And this is my attempt at a wrinkler finish rocker cover, i'm happy, it was a rush job using a heat gun to keep the temperature right so that the paint textures and cures properly.
  14. only some vendors do and trade me is an auction site not a store
  15. yeah it's not really fair prices and ages vary too much between the cars.come to think of it gus your're probably right, it's either 2 or 2.5L, all i know is that it revved out to about 9 or 10 thou and was a plenty powerful unit to have some fun.
  16. would still have to try it for myself. and the S2000 is worth more than the e36 M3 ...
  17. S2000 hands down. have always wanted one! i think that a 3L V-tech in a nimble little convertible that looks hot and is rare in comparison to all the others would be superb fun to own!
