  1. manual is definitely a great idea. the rest depends on whether you seriously want to build a targa car or not. judging by your comment " I want to do the lowered mean look, what's the best way" i think you are after a good looking street car, start by fixing the dents as ashkan said then browse the forum for the other information on 2.7 swaps and suspension options. welcome
  2. ahahaha quality weekend, good cars, good roads, good people, good beer, good weather what more could you ask for really.

    Stickers

thanks for the suggestions. we are happy with the current silver and white stickers and don't plan on changing them, it's nice when things are consistent. Feel free to get some color coded ones made up for yourself though Shelley at attract signs will sort you out at your own expense www.attractsigns.co.nz

    Left vs Right

took me a while but i can make her change direction by going cross eyed for a second and using my mind power. at first she was going clockwise though.
  6. still to come, I have to touch them up because they missed a bit of the brake pedal
  7. i have one if you want it.
  8. It's been a while since an update so here we go. I Refitted all the suspension in just over half a day. Pressed on Offset Front arm bushes reassembled 51mm front struts and fitted them with koni adjustable shocks, progressive king springs, BMW offset top mounts, new FAG bearings and slotted rotors. ... and then I had to rush it on to the tow truck to head to the painters where i spent 5 hours masking it outside so we could paint inside. and it came out like this ... (excuse the phone camera quality) In the meantime i was working on stripping the head and rebuilding it. notice my neatly labeled bags and valve spring compressor tool. slight wear on the camshaft concentrics (found a replacement) Some cleaning in the parts washer, then off to the pros to get the valve guides replaced, the valves seated, seals replaced, and valve spring pressures set. More to come soon ...

  12. sounds like a unique problem, something getting snagged or whatever. did you replace the part that you screw the 4 screws into? if so there are 2 kinds, 1 with self tappers into plastic and one with brass threaded inserts, if this is your problem you need to get 4 new screws.
  13. it was scary but it did happen.
