  1. Would be cheaper to trade into an E70, and worth more at resale....
  2. Make sure you visit in Jan when a new icon will be hanging around......
  3. Welcome Greg. I watched the previous owner of your M5 shed a tear as it was dropped off at the transporters today. Roll on 9.30pm and delivery........
  4. I've been lucky enough to drive an Enzo a few times and also completed a car rally in one. You are correct - it is an epic car and certainly iconic. Personally I think the F40 is the most iconic look of the more modern Ferraris, whilst a 275 GTB/4 is in my mind the iconic classic Ferrari being front engined.
  5. 2 registered and on the road in NZ
  6. That E31 CSI is very cool. I could quite happily see one of those in my future....
  7. K is used by mobile speed cameras

    5 Million

As per post number 4 - booze and hookers. Seriously - Ferrari 275 GTB 4 cam. Will double in money within a few years. Alternatively a 288 GTO, F50 and Enzo. That would just scrape into the budget on a good day.
  9. I might see you there! I went to the F12 launch and that was a great event. I suspect the California one will be cool, but not as good as the f12.
  10. Landy Heaven, just inland of Napier (Landy Heaven, 126 Poraiti Road, Napier, NZ ph 06 844 9242 cell 0274 499487).

    E38 750i wanted.

Maybe ask a BMW dealer to find out how many NZ ones were sold then approach the owners?
  12. The P1 sure looks good. From all the reports I have read it does seem a level or 2 above the 918, but we will have to wait until La Ferrari is out to see who is king. My prediction - La Ferrari is faster in a straight line (just), whereas P1 will be the quickest on track, and on big F1 tracks it will be in a different class. Have a read also of this article from Harris on Thursday; http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=29516
  13. Those badges were standard on the early M3's
  14. The wrap is for a different car - something more exotic! Boy racer at heart....
  15. That looks like my car. It's got axle back straight pipes and makes a good noise with a corresponding increase in the traction light appearing.
  16. As mentioned above if you get the Escort 9500 it won't be an issue.
  17. Finally finished installing all of the above. Some quick comments;1/. The exhaust is epic. Makes the M5 sound great. Very loud at start up, but on the open road it's fine when cruising. 2/. LED interior lights - very easy install and totally changes the car. A must I think for just over $100 a very cheap upgrade. The M5 has 19 interior lights to replace when doing this, however it comes as a kit so very easy. 3/. The black grill and side gills make the car look a lot better. 4/. The H&R springs give the car a great stance with the spacers. Very pleased I did this! All in all very happy with everything. Now I just need to decide if I want to paint the wheels satin black or will this be overkill....... So many first world decisions!

As the car will be in AKL for the next month or so feel free to PM me and have a look once it's done. Redline should start late next week after CCS have finished a service etc.

    Car Wrap

Quick update. After a bit of research and recommendations from Mclaren and CCS Porsche I have decided to go with Redline. They seem very professional and have a good reputation.
  20. The other good thing with the 9500 is that it has a database of all fixed speed cameras and it gives you warnings as you approach them.
  21. The cops have gone to K band for cameras. The only realistic option is to go for a GPS enabled radar that operates K band but eliminates all the false alarms on K band (electric doors etc). The best is the Escort 9500 series.
  22. I haven't actually done anything yet but I have ordered a few parts from Turner Motorsport in the US. The car is a F10 M5 - I've ordered; Axle back straight pipes - Turner Motorsport version H & R lowering springs - 1 inch at front - 0.7 inches at rear Spacers for front (12.5mm) and back (10mm) Full LED interior light package Black side grills Black front grills Genuine car cover for the M3 CSL These should be a good start to making the M5 a bit cooler!!
