    E36 328i Coupe Build

Removing body trims to clean behind them and treat them, going to try trim treatment first. If that doesnt last i will use black bumper paint. Have tried linseed oil in the past but found it goes patchy after a month or so in the weather. Need a good wash behinds its ears!

Front bushes done. 4.8L of oil removed, put back in 6.5... P/S topped up Next up front brakes and front tyres. Then off for a WOF Sounds like there is a vac leak under the intake manifold? When you give it throttle it seems to go away. Should it sound like that or is something poked? It seems to idle fine. Looks to be a bit of play in the P/S rack also...another thing for the list...
  3. Was aksed the same question 2 hrs ago haha Not yet, most people that have them are happy with the power. Do a lot of 40D's though Tuning box AFR VS stock VS remap(on a diesel holden cruze) http://www.nzperformancetuning.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/cruze.jpg Anyway, back to Tristrans awesome cars!
  4. Nnnnnnnnnnooooooooo Dont stick a fuel rail box on it, waste of time. Yes you get gains but at the cost of your fuel injection system and incorrect AFR's. They also have the ability to sense them on there and wind back the power over time. If anything a proper remap, just did a white X5 this morning with the 3L in it. Goes well now

Manual is top of the list! Once my A3 sells. Have been looking at turbo kits, only real option is a custom top mount turbo manifold. Would be easy to get a decent and well priced manifold if the steering rack wasnt on the way! If i go FI id say it will be supercharged unless i win lotto

  11. Any of you guys got a factory intake for your 335's you want to sell, customer is after one as the previous owner put pod filters on it and a JB4(horrible thing, was blocking OBD fault codes and the car wasnt happy). All fixed now with a proper remap. Just need to find him a OEM intake system!
  12. We have the 3L TDI as a company car as boy does it get up and go. Maybe try and find one to take for a drive?

FYI the "openflash tablet" is just a re banded unit, i have a few of them on my desk. If the tuner gets you to do a full read of the ECU make sure you have a battery charger on it as it can take up to and hour to read the software.
