  3. Assuming i'll get the whole rear subframe with diff and hugs, break discs, arms etc
  4. Is it possible? Will the rear subframe from E36 M3 3.2 fit the Earlier M3's. What needs to be done to fit the diff? I've end up in the situation when I might consider doing it to my car...
  5. Hey guys need E36 M3 3.15 diff or crown wheel and pinion. URGENTLY!!!
  6. Buy the manual!!! Yummm!!! You won't regret it!!!
  7. Hello guys, Just want to know whats a good place to get my diff assessed and repaired in Christchurch. Cheers.
  8. will text you later tonight then.
  9. ok thanks alot!!! will do...!! because I wouldn't beleive that bmw diffs would go so bad so fast... i mean i have just over 100k on the clock... most of the e30 would have a good working diff after 200k. plus the noise began just suddenly, and now wouldn't stop. i was standing on the car park today and i think i did hear the same slight noise coming from the back, so you might be right.
  10. hello guys, on tuesday evening i was driving my car (M3 95 Euro) out on the street and suddenly very strange noise came out of nowhere! So i have stoped the car and had a look around... Found nothing. The noise appear to be coming from the back, only happens when driving in 3rd and 4th gear mainly however sometimes appear in the second as well, in the lover rev range (1500 to 2300). The noise tends to arise when you drive at a contstant speed and tends to go away if you push the accelerater or when the revs get too low or when clutch i pressed. The nature of the noise: it is like a ruttling noise, like if someone would attach a stick to the drive shaft and it would hit the body everythime it goes through one point. We have had a look under the car, on that rubber bit that connects the part of the drive train to the gear box (it looks like new!!!) all the other visible things tend to be good as well. I really need help! What could it be? Cheers.

  12. Hello guys just looking for a set of black carpets for E46 sedan. Thanks
  13. Hello guys, Is the M3 Evo Exhaust is the same as the M3 95 Euro exhaust? (the part that goes from headers to the muffler). Cheers
  14. Interested in exaust, side mirrows so far. PM prices please. Cheers
  15. The most interesting thing I have searched for an hour so far haven't found anything bad about them apart from noise and extra vibration... I must have used different key words or something... But reading all of the threads today I got a different view on solids now... Don't know what to do now... Dam!!!!
  16. Ive read a lot about it and apparently it might be really bad for your car unless you go solid all the way... Something to do with the bushing absorbing some of the movement... There are lots of people who report them crack etc.
  17. What do you guys think about solid mounts for the differential?
  18. i am going to order full coilover set with koni adjustable shocks and eichbach springs... In terms of bushes i will be going for softer version to allow some movement to eliminate understeer...
  19. burning smell is probably a good thing... It is most likely to come up when the car havent been driven "up to its potential" for a while... So it must be in a reasonable condition and owned by the older person(or a person like me). My e36 m3 smells the same when i give it a proper run. My car is driven every day so i try to drive it nice and smooth but i think m3 needs a different life style lol... Track or some good highway runs on weekends
  20. current setup: stock m3 suspension, swaybar bushes replaced and lower front control arm bushes replaced with genuine bmw parts... The car will be street driven mainly; and tracked a few times a year probably 3-5 times. Cheers
  21. This is probably a wrong section to post this thread in, but I would really like to hear a lot of opinions about this... First question is wether the front control arms from non-m E36s are the same as the m3. And whether it is worth buying HD Meyley ones or M3 genuine BMW would be better? Second question has anyone used uuc subframe bushes on their car? The uratheine ones. Which bushes do you think would be better the AKG polyurathein ones or ucc uratheine ones. What rate of the bushes (in terms of softest to hardest, or maybe even solid) is better on the subframe and why? Now spring rate; how does it affect the ride and handling and which is better? I was advised to put 440lbs on the front 6" springs and 550lbs on the rear 6.5" springs. I will really appreciate any contribution... Thank you
