Only have 1 park out the front of our flat, & the father in law has made it plain he won't store any more donors at the farm. Life just really sucks sometimes!!
-
Nah, if you're anything like me it's just crappy eyesight
-
Gah!! Why do these always come up when I don't have a suitable shed!!!
-
Consider yourself extremely fortunate mate, I've now got three mates that have been partially or fully blinded in one eye and another with a divot in his chest from exploding disks or flying swarf. Buy a full face visor and use goggles underneath! Better yet, use a sabre saw. Slower and not as tidy but far safer

Love to. Would 4 grand cover it? In all seriousness, your car looks tits mate. REALLY wish I had that sort of coin to throw at a car! GLWS!
-
Now there's a thought Would probably have more luck finding a S62 tho

"If you close your eyes, it sounds like people being very impressed by someone farting." Quote of the f#*king month!! Someone please explain to me just how the hell that little motor didn't crap out from fuel starvation? I'm not sure it stayed on the same plane for more than 0.5s at a time

I'll quite happily swap you mine with a bit of cash your way if you have a 2.93 or 3.15 laying about feeling unloved

Considering how toasted the paint & panel is and the interior looking more like the inside of my shed I'd say $6-8k. Given an incomplete respray will be about 5 grand, I'll stab in the dark and say at least a thou on interior retrimming, plus the cost of wheel refurb and restoring the lights and a new clutch assembly and whatever other nasty shocks lurk within. If it was leather maybe 7-9.5k? Obviously your costs would be way lower on parts. I'd keep the supercharger and LMs from your coupe, sell the car as standard. Then sink all the dough into fixing up that bad boy. Cos an M3 ALWAYS outguns a boosted M52. Hell, that supercharger kit alone would probably pay for the wheel refurb plus a fair bit of change. Balance that against a possible 10k for the complete drivetrain & DME package and you've got a hard decision to make. Personally I'd rebuild the M but it really has to stack up economically.....emotional attachments to cars are inevitably poor financial decisions. Not many M3s around these days with that few miles on the clock. Not without spending 25k anyway. Plus it's not like they're building any more E36s. Mr Murch would definitely be the man to ask if the blower will be any good!

We've thought about moving out of Auckland again but having started a family we can't really go anymore. Plus I suspect the difference in earning power between this side of the Bombays and the rest of NZ has a small part to play in the matter..... not that it explains why the 'median' price is getting frighteningly close to $1m. Our current rental is about the 70sqm mark including the single garage and the rateable value is over $400k. If the local estate agents are to be believed market value is more like $440-$460k. We're all f*#^ed

Just how does an M3 get to be in a state like that?! Is it still economic to repair? I imagine a low mileage motor and drivetrain would fetch a few bob. If you do keep it, burgle the charger off the 328 and sneak it under the hood of the M. Killer

Would likely be cheaper to do the LSx swap rather than go down the S62 route. Although it would be f*#king cool! Easier to get parts and a cheaper motor to draw extra power from too. The LSx are smaller than the BMW 8s from shoulder to shoulder so the install would be way easier. Keen to see which way you jump with the project!

It's a curious little juxtaposition when people are quite happy to make a profit from property but cry foul when they have to pay elevated prices Yup, the rental market is just as bad. We pay nearly $400 for a dark 2 bed just across the border from Ellerslie. Going by what other similar places have rented for on our street we've got it on the cheap too Same money would have us in a decent 3 bed plus double garage out Puke ways. Given I'm on the lower end of a trade wage with a brand new baby it's really hard to see how to keep a household afloat without moving back out to the dump areas of Sth Auck I grew up in... and even then it's really not that cheap. Roll on the depression!

Fair enough

How much, Glenn?

Not having a lash at you mate, that was a general dig at people of my generation and younger that seem to think property ownership is a human right, not a privilege. Perceived worth vs actual value is always a matter of opinion....and it's usually the owner of the deepest pockets whose opinion matters most!

So you're only willing to send if it sells for more than $80?

What size & offset are those wheels dude? OEM or copies? 2k seems reasonable, GLWS
