    Thanks.
You'd have to hope it can secure a piece of plastic trim!

It sure will . I mounted my number plates with it and a sky box in the motor home. I've used it for heaps of things. I've got 1.5 rolls here which I need. You will need braid fishing line to get it off. It might be 3m but I can't find it on their web site. The rolls are not big... about 60mm diameter and 16mm wide. The tape is black with a green backing tape

  2. I'm not trying to get too personal here. But may I ask you how mechanically experienced you are ? Do you have the tools and experience to do this sort of work. These are not 1980 Toyota Corollas

Whats your perceived budget and time frame to do the repairs ?

I'm only asking you these questions so I can gauge what advice I might give you .

  3. To get a close idea of what the ratio is, mark the axle and input/pinion shafts with twink to a reference point on the diff housing.  Rotate the pinion and count the turns and fraction of turns when you rotate the pinion to get the axle to rotate once. ie a 287:1 will be a fraction of just under 3 revolutions of the pinion to one revolution of the axle.
