I second that, we don't all need to see it.However, Shadowninja, you get my vote for hardass of the year, that is some hard out sh*t, you legend. Cheers

I like the idea. A clean look is a good look in my opinion. Cheers

I don't see a problem with it. He is using two bits of wood, so there is a back up should one fail. I think he is being over cautious. Cheers

The car is being dropped off Friday to the BM Workshop for the fitting of the suspension, and bushings replaced etc. Cheers

GiddaySorry, was out like a light at 7pm, it was as long as I could last. Cheers

I didn't declare them for GST...damn, must have slipped my mind. I will get them put in by a professional, as I will put new bushings in at the same time, and also will need an alignment again once it is in. Ryan, If your mate got in from San Francisco today, then he (or she) must have been on the same flight. Right now I am poked, been up for effectively 36 hours...but want to get into a decent sleepong pattern so staying awake as long as possible. Cheers Grant

Believe it or not, but this is not photochopped, this is an actual photo I took (but I suspect that this may have been on hydraulics, I never saw it in motion).

Do you think this would handle well (let alone get a WOF)???

The engine of a supercharged an NOS equipped Ford Lightening Truck. Something tells me that this would be rather quick.

one of the nicer Bimmers I came across

Oh yes, this H2 had some huge rims, and one hell of a lot of chrome.

A real pimped out beast. Nice sounding V8 in this as it pimped passed.

MMMMMM - I like this one , a Dinan modified M5. This thing sounded rather nice.

Words defy me with this car.

A Real, authentic signed Shelby Mustang (note the Shelby signature on the glovebox). I took this (and a whole heap more photos) at a Hot Rod Show, I stumbled upon. Cheers

Gidday I'm sick of the arguements about what is ok or not ok to do to your car. Who cares, so long as the person is happy with what they have done to their own car, and they aren't making it out to be something that it is not i.e badging their 318i as an M3 etc , then who cares. To this end, stop the arguing, and get back on topic. Cheers

I'm on holiday from Friday, but go for your life, otherwise wait till I'm back then a celebration would be awesome (but if you want to do it sooner, don't let me hold you back).Cheers

I was a late arrival to Bimmersport (last November I think), and can only claim a very very small portion of the credit. I have been more active in keeping the contributions on the 'straight and narrow' than anything else. Unfortunately that has made me unpopular with a minority of posters from time to time, but so be it, you can't keep everyone happy all of the time. Cheers

That would be the wholesale price, before any options, dealer mark up, registration, tax etc. Also almost everything is significantly cheaper in the USA than it is here, due to the economies of scale that can be developed in a country with the population base of the USA. What is funny is that goods made in europe are still a lot cheaper in the USA than they are here (look at the price I am paying for suspension components there compared to here) even though the parts still have to travel from Europe to the USA. Increased prices for a lot of goods is something that an isolated country like New Zealand has to live with. Another possible reason is that people are prepared to pay higher prices for perceived 'luxury' items like BMW's. Having a higher price doesn't stop them being sold, so wh yshould the dealers lower the prices. The place I know of that is importing new BMW's from Japan, buys them from the dealers in Japan who are falling behind in their quota of sales, so at the end of each quarter they are forced to offload cars to meet their quota. Cheers

Have you actually taken it to a good mechanic for them to look at? If not, get an expert (a real expert) to have a look at it. This will remove the guesswork, and then you will know for sure what to do to fix the problem, and not potentially waste money. Cheers

Nice Pics, great story. I don't think we have that opportunity in New Zealand, I think we are resigned to buying it from the dealer here. However, some used car dealers are importing new BMW's from Japan and selling them at much cheaper prices than the dealers here. Cheers

Thanks to you guys for getting it up and running, and keeping it going even when at times I know it hardly seemed worth it. All in all though it is going really well now, and is a credit to you 'originals' from a year ago. Cheers
