Not very subtle is it!!!! I like it, it is very muscular looking, and has a real "Don't mess with me" look about it. I bet the real thing is somewhat toned down from that. Cheers
  3. They do, if I look up my car on the EPC (ETK), I get two damper choices, Bilstein or Boge (and two front strut sizes)...bloody confusing. Also, it lists the mtech suspension as having Bilstein dampers. Cheers
  4. Sounds good Brent, I'll PM you about it. Cheers
  5. Plenty of other people do that, and just swap the plates brfore and after WOF time.Seems to work ok, and I have never heard of anyone getting fined for having the 'wrong' euro plate. Cheers
  6. Stupid topic. We've all heard this arguement before, pointless and a waste of time. Thread locked.

Ja. Try Mag and Turbo Warehouse. They definately sell the Essen's which as Nap e36 said are made by Avanti. They are a closer copy of the Schnitzers than mine are. They are a bit deeper than my mags. Cheers Blair and Deftones. Thanks for the info.Cheers

Blair, Wagon Save this banter for PM's or MSN, we all don't need to read it. Cheers Dave: posts in question deleted..
  10. Yeah, it is bloody stupid. My suspension was shipped from Turner Motorsports in Amesbury Massachusetts three days ago, has been through Illinois, and its next stop is Fresno California (and only two hours away from its final destination). It will arrive at where I will be staying on Wednesday. Amazing how well these thrack and trace courier placs work. Cheers
  11. Brent Nice history of BMW ownership. Good work on the Hartge rebuild too. Cheers

Very very nice looking car. Nice Mtech kit, nice wheels also. Where did you get the wheels from (and do they make a 16 inch version)? Good work. Cheers
  13. Hello All Please read and understand the following. As Admins and Moderators Andrew, Dave, Glenn, Gus and Damian and I have decided that we need to toughen up a bit on the forums and stop them degenerating into mindless arguements. This means the following: 1) As soon as posts on a thread go too far off topic, they will be deleted or the thread locked. 2) Any posts that involve offensive or derogatory comments towards other forum members will be deleted straight away. 3) Mindless banter between two individuals that do not contribute anything useful to a thread will be deleted, that is the job of PM'ing or MSN, keep it away from the forums. 4) Any posts that appear to be an obvious attempt to increase your number of posts, with out contributing anything useful will be deleted. There are no prizes for having the most posts. Some of the most helpful members on here have relatively few posts. 5) The admin/ moderators have agreed to lead by example, please do not hesitate to complain to any of us, if we fail to do so. 6) All Off Topic posts belong in the Off Topic forum, however, if a thread looks like a deliberate attempt to stir an arguement, or give another member grief (apart from in a good natured way) then these will be locked/deleted straight away. 7) Any lack of respect or common courtesy towards another member will be dealt with. 8) Good jokes, funny pictures, interesting non-BMW facts etc are welcome in the Off-Topic forum, but please remember to place appropriate warnings in the title for anything that may cause concern, or is NWS. 9) One last thing, that we are all very sick of hearing about the fact tha *sic (Damian) has a Honda, get over it, I personally am sick to death of nearly every new member in here thinking that abusing his Honda, or attempting to make fun of the fact that Damien has a Honda makes them the shizzle. The fact of the matter is that the CRX is a faster, better handling, and in better condition than most of our cars, and if I owned it I sure as hell would be proud to have it. Please remember that we are all here for a common purpose, and there are no prizes for putting someone down, abusing someone else or pwning them (you just come off looking like dicks). Any questions, suggestions etc, please feel free to PM me or any other moderator. Hope that clears some stuff up. Cheers
  14. Couldn't have put it better myself. Also Abby is right, as soon as the auction is over, and the reserve has been met, it is a legally binding contract (offer, acceptance and consideration...and all that legal terminology). Cheers

Mine would fall a long way behind Glenn's (and Andrew's once the turbo goes on his).Mine is very much a work in progress (with progress being rather slow...but good things take time).
  17. I couldn't agree more, the lack of decent roading networks and infrastructure in New Zealand is the biggest factor in the fatality rate we have here. Surely the current (and previous, and successive) government can learn from overseas experiences, and realise that a good well structured roading and motorway/highway system makes for better and safer roads. This involves investing a lot more capital (as Damien pointed out) into the roading network. Also I think that it is far too easy to get and keep a licence in New Zealand. There are so many dangerous drivers on our roads, that make the roads unsafe for all of us. These drivers don't seem to fall into any one demographic, but seem to be people from all spectrums of society. Maybe more stringent testing (and regular retesting) is needed to obtain (and keep) a drivers licence. My third opinion is that there are also far too many unsafe vehicles on our roads. By this I mean dangerously modified, ones that should be on the scrap heap, and ones that are neither WOF'ed or Registered, but are still being driven. I think that in a lot of overseas "first world" countries cars are a lot more affordable so most people drive newer, safer and better maintained vehicles, whereas here in New Zealand there are a greater number of older, early Japanese Import, dangerous vehicles still being driven (as people can't afford to upgrade them). There we go, my opinion (for what it is worth). Cheers

    Forum Whores

Although I didn't edit your post to say that, it is a good point."Anything Goes" but within reason, any offensive, racist, sexist etc posts or comments will be deleted, or edited. Remember...there are all types in this world, and on this forum, and offending people is a quick way to get banned. Be reasonable in what you post and all will be good. Cheers But in saying that Grant it is also frustrating when some posts are obviously being edited that aren't offensive at all but rather are in jest. I believe that that it is an abuse of power is it not???? CarlI couldn't agree more, rest assured I am not editing any posts (except if they are offensive). I will try and get this increasing trend halted (there is a part of the forum that only us moderators can see, I'll raise the issue in there). Cheers

By all means, please report anything offensive, and it will get edited or deleted, that is the point of moderators. Also, regardles of whether there are Christians on this board or not, it would pay to keep your anti-religious comments to yourself, unless there happened to be an educated debate going on about Christianity then feel free to express your opinions in a well thought out, educated, researched and backed up manner (which I hope never happens as I know straight away it would turn into a sh*t fight). Cheers

325e block, 325i head etc. However I still have the original 320i ECU, and this retards performance somewhat as the ECU will only hold the injectors open to 4,800 rpm's after which the engine leans right off, and HP dies (but am sticking a Link in instead early next year). I am hoping for around 100 - 110 KW at the wheel on Bellar's Dyno (hopefully this isn't wishful thinking), and at present have 243Nm of Torque (which is quite a bit higher than a standard 325i). Cheers

howabout a 3.91 (or is it 3.93...I can't remember), that would be reasonably well suited to a manual 320i I would have thought. I have a 3.73 (or is it 3.71...again I can't quite remember) in my car, and it is ideal (trust me I tried 3 different diffs before settling on this one...poor old Steve at SD Euro was very patient with me, and my constant diff swapping). Good luck, keep us in the movies about progress. Am I right in thinking you already have the pedal box in place? Cheers

Trust me, with a 4.45 and a manual box, you will find 1st gear to be a fruitless exercise. You will also hate any open road driving. Even with a 4.10 mine was terrible with the manual box, I imagine even with your smaller engine a 4.45 will be much the same. You won't regret going to a manual box though. When will this all happen? Cheers

    WTF !?

Couldn't agree more.Come on guys, lets keep the threads on topic. There is far too much crap that people need to weed through to read the proper posts. Cheers
