Yeah, those photo's of Gus's car were taken when he had the Jamex Superlow's in in. Now he has Jamex 40mm progressive springs, and stock shocks (but not for long - Bilsteins are on the way in a couple of months). It is not so low, and looks much better. Cheers

If you think 320s are bad try a 518 sorry, I do have to take that back, I was assuming it was an auto 320i, but I read it is a manual. So, not so bad.Greame...a 518i??? Those would be a terrible. Imagine the power to weight ratio of them.

Maybe it is the photo, and the fact that it was taken at night (and this over exagerates it), but I agree with *sic.850csi's normally look better than that. Cheers

How far do you intend dropping it? If you don't drop it too far, camber should be fine. Just drop it properly, otherwise your ride quality will suffer. Blair (Napier E36) is probably your best bet here, he has a E36 325i, that is pretty low. Oh yeah, welcome to the site, good to have more Mooloo representation. Cheers

You must have had a bad one, mine is quick enough, very very reliable, and is pretty vheap to run as well.Good luck...but then again you had an E30 320i, the worst of the lot. Cheers

I take it, it is still playing up? Cheers

What kind of unbiased opinion do you expect to get in here (*sic excluded)? If you would prefer a worked civic, then go for it. If you would prefer for Bimmer, then keep it. After all, you are the one that has to be happy at the end of the day. Good luck with whatever you choose. Cheers

It pulls hard enough at the moment under 4,800 rpm's at the moment, and has a good looking dyno chart up to the 4800 mark. My aim is to get it pulling, and generating HP right until redline. I may have to go aftermarket ECU.

Oh, I do like this one, especially for some of the posters in here. :english: The rest of them are a bit lame.

Another one....I took it back today to the rental people, and the sides of it were fully covered in mud. I pity the poor groomer.

Hi All I have just spent the weekend on Waiheke Island, taking a restful break. The weather gods were smiling (against the weather forecasters predictions) or hired the following car. It was actually very good fun on the loop road to Stony Batter, Man of War Bay, and back to Onetangi. The mix on RWD car, some gravel roads, some dirt roads, and some twisty tarseal roads was good fun.

Sorry I've been away, but.... A Belated Happy Birthday. Cheers

Yes, I was wondering who added the last bits to those posts. They just didn't seem right to me.Cheers

Congratulations, can't wait to see the finished project, I am planning on using the same suspension set up, and exhaust (seeing mine is leaking more and more and getting louder and louder). So I have more than just a passing interest in your finished product.Cheers

Yeah, I have been doing a lot of thinking about why the HP is peaking so early, here are my thoughts. Either, for some reason the amount of air able getting in, or the amount of fuel being pushed through the injectors is insufficient for the size of the cylinders (remembering that my engine is now at 2.7l). This leads me to wonder whether either the AFM, TB or Injectors are not the ideal size. I notice that that the part number on the AFM is from a 320i and not the 325i engine (however a physical comparison of the two mean that they look identical). My other thought, is in line with Andrew's, and that as I still have a 320i ECU in my car, and maybe it still has the 320i chip in it (which I was scpetical of, but am not so sceptical of now), then the mapping of this does not allow a sufficient flow of fuel (and/or air) into the combustion chamber, and therefore retarding power at the HP peak of 4,800rpm's. Therefore I am keen to try swapping my 320i ECU with a 325i one, and see if that makes a difference. Does what I type make sense....or am I just full of sh*t and way off the mark? Cheers

Marcel, When Andrew comes over, I will be coming with him, so you had better have a big house Cheers

I'll rent you a tent if you like.

Welcome, we look forward to meeting you. What are you coming over here for? holiday? Cheers

Yeah, on trade me, I didn't see them today, so maybe they have been sold. There were a few bids on them.

Hello Here is the link to the article: http://xtramsn.co.nz/motoring/0,,6306-3360974,00.html Cheers

I think that I prefer the leather BMW 'recaros'. Cheers

now those are real 'Vaders'. I'll have a set too thanks. Cheers

Where abouts are the part numbers located on the AFM and the injectors? Can I see them without having to remove them? Cheers

Hello Can anyone help me here. Are there any differences between the E30 320i and E30 325i injectors? I realise that they have different part numbers, but are they essentially any different? Are they both capable of injecting the same amount of gas in, or does the 325i injectors have a higher capacity? Cheers

Yeah, I am trying to track down a 325i ECU to borrow, to see if that is the problem. I was talking to Andrew last night, his car will be ready in a couple of days, so using his ECU will be out of the question (he is itching to get into the 325, and run it in). What I am wondering is that once the engine has hit 4800 rpm's (when the HP peaks and then drops off rapidly) is that the ECU, injectors/ AFM is pushing as much air/petrol as it can, yet this is still below what the engine is capable of pushing though? i.e., maybe the injectors in the car are 320i ones and have a smaller capacity than 325i ones etc. Does this make sense? I am planning to eliminate all of the possible reasons one by one (starting with the easiest ones). Cheers
