That may cost a little more than $7,000.
-
Also, Toyota had a runout model of their last generation Corolla that was a similar colour.
-
Thats a whole can of worms I want nothing to do with.
-
Agreed here too. And I think the treaty was signed in 1840. Cheers

under hard cornering, it will stop (or greatly reduce) the car flexing, especially when the suspension has been modified (I am getting Bilstein Sports Shocks and Jamex (or H&R) Springs in September).Cheers

without the long hair........in fact with hardly any hair...dammit, where does it keep going?
-
It can't be Gus...the car is still working.Sorry Gus..
-
Yeah, it will only really be noticable once I get the new suspension in later in the year. However, at the moment, it looks cool, and that must add HP. Cheers
-
Which is bloody good as it makes nice ones like mine (and others on here too) more "valuable", and not so common.

A massive driveability gain, especially in the wet. The kick down of the auto, especially in the 325i made it occassionally unpredictable. As far as getting the parts, try and find a donor car to get them off (maybe off a wrecked 5spd E30). Try BMW wreckers. Good luck.
-
I paid $1500.00 all up to have mine converted to 5spd. This was all parts and labour, but included me giving them my auto box (which had been recently reconditioned). Cheers
-
Plenty of people have done it themselves, it is not an overly difficult job, you just have to make sure you have all of the parts you need. However, I didn't do it myself, I got it converted professionally. Cheers

1st generation Mitsi Lancer. RWD and bulletproof.
-
I think that because the auto - manual conversion is so easy, that a lot of the manual 325i's are converted autos (like mine, and Gus's and others on here I bet). Also, I think that you soon find it hard to get a good E30, they are nearly at the end of their realistic lifecycle (through natural attrition), and the key now is to find one that has been looked after and regularly maintained, otherwise there are a lot of moneypits out there. Cheers

depends what you are after.

what the hell are u talking about??? hahahahaha
-
don't worry, they are only temporary. A means to an end.

You are right there, an electric fan is a much better idea. In fact I have heard of people retro-fitting an electric fan to replace the fan clutch driven one.
-
No, I have had the fan clutch fail on both my current 325i and my previous 320i.It definately caused the engine to get too hot, and wasn't cooling the car at all, and it definately was the fan clutch that was at fault, as it being replaced in both cars fixed the problem. Gus also had this recently too. But I agree with you possible diagnosis of Matt's problem, they are good possibilities too.
-
Yup, you will struggle to find anything more horrid anywhere.
-
If you weren't two feet taller than me, I'd find where you live and go postal on your ass. But then again, my mobility scooter would just run out of batteries on the way, and I'm afraid my dentures might fall out.
-
Is it happening when you are in traffic (i.e driving in town), or is it hot all of the time? If you do a spot of open road driving, does it cool down again? If so then it is most likely the fan clutch (viscous coupling). This is a common problem with E30's. Cheers

Andrew, Make sure you keep posting the photos of the progress, it is bloody interesting. Cheers

Why would you want to? It will mess seriously with your camber.
