Why on earth would he sell it without those items???Dashboard.... I've read it all now. Cheers Grant if you read the auction Grant, you'll realise that hes selling with extras that come with the car, not on the car as part of hte auction. Wheels - got 15" baskets sitting in my garage not to mention a set of 14" bottlecaps Boot spoiler - E30's have enough rust without adding more Tool kit - got a full one Dash - dont need spare, fine with cracked one Cheers Andy. Waxer - tell me more about the car, what flaws does it have, I cant tell too much without seeing it.. looks like a little bit of rust in the sunroof, what are the lenses like on the fogs. Cool, fair call. I stand corrected.Cheers Grant

If as part of that, you have no need for the windscreen washer components (reservior, jets and hoses), I'll take them off your hands (at a reasonable price).Cheers Grant

Hello Do you have this stuff: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=6726 I amassuming it is the same on the 318 as my 323. If so, let me know the $$ you want. Cheers Grant

As the title suggests, I would like to replace my reservoir, hoses, and jets. The grit filter has broken in mine, and some small bits of plastic from it have blocked the hoses/jets somewhere. I don't want to pay very much, but if someone has this on a wreck etc they want to sell, let me know. I assume they are the same on all E36's, but if not, I need one to suit a 96 323i. Cheers Grant

We have a sediment reducer that is basically a copper tube sealed at one end. The other end is attached to the inside of our tap with some plastic hosing (but can be removed for cleaning). The copper tube is drilled with 100's of holes. Also we complete the boil with a fine gauze bag to filter our the grain malts, and the hops. Also the Irish Moss aids in a clear brew at the end. My hint to you is get better at ales before trying too much with lagers/pilsners. Lagers require a much more regimented fermenting process, therefore they are harder to get right. Our first brew back was a lager, mainly because we got the kit free with some of the equipment we bought. Once we are satisfied with a good brew, we will then take it to a brew pub and get the head brewer to critique it for us.

I know I'm digging this thread up from the grave but.... Ollie, how are you going with this? We brewed our second lot on Saturday, basically took the whole day from scratch. Our first brew is lagering still...but we sampled a bottle and it was ok (a bit weak...but we basically just used a kit, to get back in the flow of it). Our second brew is aimed at being a hoppy pale ale. For this we used the following ingredients: 1.5kg's Pale malt 1kg Medium "spray" malt Some Crystal malt grain (about 300 grams of crushed grain) 50 grams of Golding hops (for the full boil) with a further 25grams used for finishing. US56 Ale Yeast (pitched when the wort had cooled to 25 degrees) Irish moss 22 litres of water. The final brew had a Original Gravity of 1039, and we will bottle at a Specific Gravity of 1006 (giving us a 4.3% alcohol). It smells bloody good, so hopefully the end result is as good. Making it from scratch, should make a good brew. Cheers Grant

Gus is bang on the button.Any of the reasonable freshly roasted brands are good. Atomic, Jungle, Addiqtion, Cafe Lafarre, Max, Grants (not me...the brand), Sierra, Altezano etc, they are hard to differentiate. What really matters is the freshness of the bean (whole roasted beans are good for 2 weeks max before they are crap, ground beans are good for less than one week), and the barista. Ones that are rubbish are the mass produced beans such at Robert Harris, Starbucks etc. By the time these hit the shelves they are well past their best. If you are looking to get into the market, watch out, you are getting into a market that must be close to fully saturated. In my local supermarket, there are close to 10 - 15 brands of different whole fresh roasted beans available (as well as their ground variants for different brewing methods). I have my own roasting machine (but to be honest am too lazy to use it very often...also it makes the house smell like burnt toast), so I normally buy small quanities of freshly roasted beans now (but then again, my grinder's blades are worn and need sharpening, so I have resorted to buying freshly roasted groundbeans for the last 2 months). My personal favourite is Atomic's Veloce blend. I also have a Saeco fully manual espresso machine (like cars, manual espresso machines are much better than automatic ones). It gets used every single day. It is built like a tank and is bulletproof, it delivers good coffee. I will not drink plunger at all. Neither will I drink instant. It has to be espresso or nothing. Flavoured coffees are interesting. While I am not a fan of them, it seems to be a growing market (thanks to Starbucks, and their various imitators). In the U.S, it is hard to get a decent espresso, but easy to get all sorts of flavoured creations. The only decent espresso's I can seem to get in the U.S are from small street barista's. Good luck, if you decide to pursue it. Let us know your plans, and how they pan out. Cheers Grant

actually more a function of the light receptor cones in your eye - as they tire of seeing one colour they eventually make you see the complimentary colour - pretty badass. Damn you and your fancy explanations...I was quite happy believing it was pure magic, and that I'd eventually go into a trance and join a cult.Cheers Grant

Happens to the best of us, stink all the same. Glad you seem ok (ok enough to post on here). Hope it all gets sorted nice and smoothly. Cheers Grant

Happy Birthday Tane. Have a great day/night. I take it that you were most likely with Gus and Andrew last night when I got the 1.30am phone call (that thankfully I missed, as I was in a peaceful slumber). Cheers Grant
