I think that that is a very nice looking car. Great purchase. Cheers Grant

And the fact that I bloody carried them in my luggage from the USA (which resulted in my bags being searched at LAX).You guys wouldn't know a bargain if it bit you on the ass. Cheers Grant

There is going to be a general meeting at the end of next month where questions etc on this series will be answered. It will be an open invite for all those interested in competing. The confirmed details for the meeting will be released soon. Cheers Grant

My first port of call would be to check/replace the relay (in the fure box - probably in the engine bay). These are often faulty, and cause the wipers to malfunction. Cheers Grant

It is most likely the buttons. Take them out, pull them apart and clean the contacts. It should fix them. I had to do this loads of times on my E30, and every single time it was just the switch/button. Cheers Grant

They are just doing their job, give them a break. It is a prick of a job, I would imagine, so I try not to give them a hard time. When I was in Hamilton, I get them all the time, however I didn't complain because it still worked out a whole lot cheaper than renting a carpark. Cheers Grant

Cain...you are showing your age with that medley of mostly 80's (and pre 80's)shockers.The sad thing is...I know them all too. Cheers Grant

What about frontal impact standards, it still needs to meet these doesn't it. An E30 doesn't.I would love to be proved wrong with this, but this is what I got told when I made enquiries about this very same topic (but importing an E30 M3 from the USA, not England). Cheers Grant

no, it does not have to be converted to RHD once it is 20 years old.Cheers Grant

It doesn't meet the frontal impact standards, so it can't be registered until it is 20 years old. Also, you can't import it and leave it in a garage until it is 20, you have to import it once it is 20+ years old. Otherwise you will have to export it and then re-import it. Cheers Grant

Ollie You are talking my language. I have done a fair bit of it. In fact after the wedding, there is a syndicate of us going in together to brew in reasonable quanities. I used plastic 600ml bottles (brown). Old small beer bottles makes it too fizzy (no matter how little sugar you use). Flagons makes it hard to get the fizzyness right (too much margin for error). Plastic is fine, any taste difference between it and glass is only perceived. Don't use sugar, use malt extract, makes a much better brew. Also buy proper brewers yeast (or if you want to make your brew even better use liquid yeast). Get a proper fermenter (or at least a heat pad), don't just rely on thinking that you have a room that is "about the right even temperature". For a hoppy type brew (say a good Pilsner, or American Pale Ale, add finishing hops to your boil (in a muslin cloth) about 5 minutes from the end. Also, cool the Wort as quickly as you can after the brew. I used to cool it in a tub of ice. The biggest tip I can give, and this is vital, is to make sure everythnig involved with your brew is sanitised and very very clean. This is one step you can't be too careful with, trust me. When get our syndicate up and brewing properly (should be within a month or so) come and be a part of it. Also, you will make bad brews from time to time. If you do (this can happen for a number of reasons) just cut your losses, tip it out and start again. Good luck, you had better let me sample your brew. Cheers Grant

Ahh, its all calmed down now anyway (as it always does after everyone has had their cry), so I'm all for the status quo. Cheers Grant

That car is about perfect. Nice purchase, please don't lock it away and not drive it, and please at the same time pamper it. Cheers Grant
