This kind of sh*t f**ks me off. Let's ruin a perfectly good car... might not have hurt to pop into the dealer and go "I lost key, how much" $300.... now it's $3000 to fix that abortion of a thing! Kiwi Ingenuity should stop at Toyota Corollas.
-
and a pain to buy touring related bits for..... but low k's and leather might have been looked after.
-
Doubt you can magically get air locks? lol Might try that first...

E34 Touring M50NV. Driving home, temperature gauge slowly goes up to about 3 1/4 mark. Stopped turned the car off, checked the engine - no leaks or steam... radiator stone cold, top pipe hot, bottom pipe cold. Heater still working well. Thermostat replaced about a month ago.. Possibly failed again? Maybe water-pump? Blocked radiator looking likely. Annoying... will figure it out tomorrow.

Legal - Doubt it. Would anybody notice? Probably not. they look like they have the correct beam cut off. and since E46's have Factory HID's they'd probably just assume that? Wouldn't it be easier just to buy a set of E46 Xeons? - you can do that perfectly legal, as those are original BMW lights for your car.

If it's the dealership I doubt they'd charge you more money... Genrally dealers are pretty good.. well I'd hope so. Otherwise just whinge to the MTA.

It's the kiwi "if it ain't broke don't fix it" way. Blame society.

I dunno, I'd be wanting to buy a new TV after 4 years anyway.. Sounds like it's had a good run to me, anyway. When I was buying my new Phone (HTC One X) they tried to sell me extended warrenty's.... "now, you can.... "NO"... are you sure.. it's "no!" and that was the end of that! My biggest gripe with the CGA would be twats that buy a $600 compaq piece of sh*t for something it was never supposed to do in the first place.

Untrue, to a point. I'd rather buy a NZ New BMW with 200,000km with a full service history than a Jap 120,000km BMW with nothing.

Pretty much no sludge or sh*t in here.. just drained it. New filter, easy. "special" tool...
-
I'd run them on my touring for 50 + shipping lol.

I've used Fuchs Titan ATF 6000 SL Full Synthetic. I'm going to check it in the morning, think it's a little low. Did filter+gasket Oil wasn't smelly or burned, just old. nothing that would scream out failure in the magnets, doubt it's ever been opened. had to make a "special" tool.

I think it could be cool if it had some kind of twin supercharged angry rowdy V8 in it...
-
It looks just like my one! i need this to have a semi matching pair.
-
It sounds to me like it's been double locked, and since he doesn't have the key it won't electronically unlock or lock. Probably best to see the dealer/locksmith.

http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=a...tml&act=url found this pretty sweet German guide. with pix.

Yep, but I thought it was more than a few mm? also, is the Drive-shaft balanced? when they are made they are balanced when put together (as they are two piece) if you take the splines out and put in a different way, it will vibrate.
-
1080p would require a shitton more bandwith.. Bluray's are like 35mbit/sec~ for example.
-
This might be why my Drivers door is yellower than the rest of the car.

Going to change this today, finally. have been trying to find procedures on the internet, but as the USA E34's didn't have this transmission there's very little information, the M3 they have is similar that I can tell. ZF 5HP-18. Can't seem to see how you'd refill it? Is it pressure filled or something? could be completely out of my league in replacing. Will be using a hoist and have a fluid syringe.

$50 + shipping. First offer
-
possibly crunched wiring, mine only unlocks the car, won't lock. even though the key turns in that direction. also mine won't electronically open anymore unless it's half open lol
-
of course, it was more a proof of concept really.

I think it's 520i's that have those, my car has a 140a and it's NZ new. in the manual it seems to suggest that 520i have the smaller size.

if per se, you had the ECU, EWS Box, and Transponder stuff... could you swap them into another vehicle and start it?
