WAIT WHAT CARS HAVE BITS THAT WEAR OUT? I'mma sue!
-
This, Though I wast just answering westy's question! and LED light is "harsh" imo compared to Incandescent or Halogen lights. However they are improving, and the more expensive ones are getting there, but you just can't beat a nice warm incandescent bulb haha.
-
Should have M40B16 powered the E34 brah.
-
Replaced a massive chunk of hatch loom the antil33t way. got bored and made a custom soldering iron tip out of a mostly f**ked one. Yes I know you aren't supposed to grind solder iron tips as it removes the plating. Works good though haha, Won't stay clean for long...

Hmm, looks like LEDSTUFF is in Hamilton now, not Dunedin. http://ledstuff.co.nz/contact_us.php http://ledstuff.co.nz/about_leds.php 35w halogen = 3.6w LED. So, 6x 35w Halogen Faceburners is 210w or .91A~! if you have 6x 3.6w LED's that's only 21.6w! or 0.094A~!

I'm never selling my touring so I'm immune. I'll just keep fixing it up when it breaks. I also don't do much town driving... so 12L/100km is not really a worry to me. I could buy a 5k Corolla and have no soul and 7L/100km. My guess is people will keep cars for longer... or we'll end up with horrible cars. Though Maybe just the price of used Corolla's has gone up, seeing as that's New Zealand's best car. Family friend of ours just bought an 06 XR6 Ford with 70k on the clock for 14k A similar aged Corolla is similar money....

I am sometimes on about something right HAHA... Other times usually gone full retard. "change your brakes they say"... Hmm what have I changed on this stupid car now. Every vacuum hose known to man the ICV Radiator, Thermostat, Waterpump Trans filter/gasket & new fluid Now the rear brakes.. and eying up 540i callipers too in the next year or so when the front pads wear out...

guy at ledstuff.co.nz sells some pretty good LED lights. Dunedin based works out of home too.

Ironically that is a Sony headunit. It's an XR-7300. I have one missing a button that I want to use, but... it looks silly without it's button. Any RDS head unit will also keep the power antennae up all the time, as it's a requirement.

It's only a Legal problem if it's a Diesel or you try and sell your car with the intent on ripping someone off by not telling them.
-
3 Speed? sure it's not a 5 Speed being that late model? I would get it scanned by someone who knows BMW's properly and possibly get the Adaptations reset... Might help to know where you live.

The way I did my bumpers is I used Trim Paint and clear coated it, but I did not paint the plastic trims, I just polished them with cutting compound.
-
Hmm... Interesting. I'll see what happens when we stick them on Justins car... I thought they sat far too close for the E34. Cheers for that!
-
Will do, I work friday night saturday night, and sunday night. Like a boss. But there's a wedding on Saturday night and I did apply for the night off... Will find out tomorrow.

Ignition Barrel? Changed insurance policies around... E30 to 3rd party, instead of full. E34 to full cover instead of 3rd party.... Now spending what I was on just the E30 for both cars... Hax. They wanted to charge me $80 a month just for the E34... Had good ole mum sort that out.
-
$290 bucks later... Transmission fluid is ALL. $32 bucks a liter! f**k retail pricing.
-
Just one. I don't think there are any 2 piece fakes?
-
Doesn't have enough fuel!
-
I wish... I have a few more E34 ventures to complete yet. Have you done an oil filter housing seal?
-
Yep, still sitting on the floor at home. Maybe Justin will let me borrow one of his E36's... There's no actual offset stamped on them.
-
It's at Integrity Automatics with a Transmission leak. I could DIY it, but it's a complete c**t to get to without a Hoist, better off just leaving it to Professionals.. I must have f**ked something up when I did the trans service a few months ago. Decided i'm better off just spending the few hundred now than a grand later.
-
I would own one of these.
-
^ Yeah I carjammed it. But the VIN is entered incorrectly. It's got numbers in-place of letters, my E34 is like this too. I have no idea why? who the hell Enters the VIN when cars are new? surely not the dealers?

Booked it in for some Professional help....
