i am taking out the roof lining in my E30 to get a new/different one made up and i cant figure out how to get the rear vision mirror off? any help would be appreciated

reminds me of the dark green E30 wagon that was in auckland a couple of years ago. that was bagged to (prob the 1st ever air bagged car i saw i think?) anyone else remember that one?

i dont know how much for me yet as im not finished but if you are putting a stock jappa into bmw then it doesnt cost much if your doing what i am and putting lots of blingy bits on and bigger better things for more horsepower then it gets real pricey depends what your after and what you would want to do i guess

i will be using the bmw diff that was allready in there (4EVAHI rb25det e30 used his standard diff and reckoned it held up fine to the punishment) shorten and balance the driveshaft and put the nissan end on the front half im using a walbro 550hp internal fuel pump and fuel pressure regulater 1:1 ratio per pound of boost increase. ill let you know how my diff holds up when its on the road and driving. im aiming for high 12 second passes on the strip and will be driven fairly hard at times so will be a good test

most powerful.... the fastest.... who cares! this thread was about a link to help people interested in doing a SR20DET conversion not a b!tch fest against putting a jappa in a non jappa car there are alot of cars out there that you would look at and go "WTF why would you?" but the majority of the time they are pretty quick if done rite. i think its about being different and doing things outside the square so to speak...

kool but looks like a ugly/messy conversion (the one displayd) couldve tidied alot of things up. but thats where the extra $$$ comes in as im finding out. im fussy as when it comes to tidyness on cars

i have the B+G red springs in my E30, they are 40mm lowering springs, my back dropped 30mm and front dropped 70mm (318 engine in 316 car = heavier) has a really staunch stanch. mine is a facelift tho.

i have a internal 550hp walbro pump in my e30 easy to replace not sure how it goes yet as car isnt back on the road

yea seen them front bumpers for sale on a reiger imports site in austraila $1320 for the fiberglass bumper and they are made to bolt staight up to the E30

i wouldnt recomend going for power steering ay, i went for manual steering. waaay less hassle, that is if you can even get a pump to fit???

hey im the guy thats half way thru doing that conversion. mine is a facelift model tho. hope you have a bit of money saved up coz you will definatly need it. biggest problem iv had is the brake booster being in the way. all sorted now tho. engine and gearbox fits like a glove. minor modification to the mounts and your away. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=5592 ^^^ link to my conversion. i will post new pics up within the next few days of the brake setup etc. my setup is different to all the other ones iv seen that have done the conversion, you will look at it and go WTF lol
