I think the one on my car is allen, but the mount I am replacing it with is star shaped. Im sure my mate used an allen key ages ago on it, but I just cant remember what size it was. Might just buy one of each...always good to have at least one of everything needed

I didnt want to thread hijack, as I've already done that before by mistake so dont wanna get in trouble for doing it again. So, how do you convert to Manual steering... Remove pump. Hoses?...What else? What needs to be swapped over to make it Manual?

Didnt have any leaks when I removed it and has been in the shed ever since.

cant realy hear it? Is that good or bad? Not a fan on that fartcan though a, need a euro sports exhaust. maybe give it a rev in another video? Does it sound tinny? When I had a fartcan on mine it sounded like a Honda and yes I replaced it... with a twintip xforce euro style muffler, way better & not noisy.

Can somebody tell me what size Allen Key I need to remove the bolts in my front & rear bumpers in my '88 F/L E30? I need to know the size, so I can go buy one from Repco or SCA - or whoever. Thanks Malcolm

Having the plate surround is giving them free advertising, chuck the frame in the bin! If you really want a frame, get a plain black frame with nothing on it - will suit the rims. Did you spray tint the lights? If you do, bad idea. I dont that, big troubles with the cops...had to spend a day cleaning the crap off. I suggest saving a few hundred and buying proper a/m lights, like I will one day. Nice coupe BTW.

I dont know much about these sump gaurds, that you can get for the E30 sumps. But are they custom made or do they come from the factory on some E30s? If Factory, who sells them - are they common or very rare? If custom made, how much would I be looking at to make one? And who would be ideal to have make it - any welder/engineer? Also, anybody got a photo of one if you have one on your car? I would like to buy one, if anyone has a spare lying around - undamaged. Thanks Malcolm PS: I also saw on Trademe about 5months ago, someone wrecking at E30 with a custom made sump pan, that was made smaller. Is that a good idea or not - as it would mean less oil in the engine wouldnt it?

Will the front seats out of a 2dr fit into a 4dr - E30? Are the rails any different or do I need to swap them over? Im looking at buying some leather front seats from a coupe, so just checking if they'd fit my 4dr?

How common are the plastic ones?

Thats why I removed mine. Mainly cos of the rattle when I played my music. And it just looks cleaner without it (not so cramed) as I said looks more "open". What do the Euro holders look like? I've never seen one.

Or just remove the recess as that will leave you with heaps of room. I just took mine out, and looks like a PFL (not quite but a little bit) but looks much better - a bit more OPEN I reckon. Just need new plates now...plate was trimmed to fit the recess. When i repaint the car I will be painting the gap, cos its still blue as when my car was painted, the idiots left the recess thing on.
