I could be here all day writing down this type of stuff...heaps of bad habits people have while driving that I hate.

That was me rushing it taking an hour. And no it didnt look mint... I wont be buying cheap tint this time I will be going for more expensive stuff. And also stated, I will be removing the windows when the time comes. So wont take me an hour, probably look at a whole weekend to do it:- remove windows; thoroughly clean; tint; let dry; reinstall....

Its only tints man. Not going effect the way my car handles. No big deal. Whos to say, if I take my time going it, its going to be any worst than a "pro"?

I just DIY. Buy cheap crap off trademe, take door trims off, wind window down a tad, get tint the top, then put back up, get tint right down into the door, then trim the edges - next window. Takes about 1hr max doing all 4...never done the rear, cant be f'ed. Have done it 3times cos each time a few weeks later it start peeling..I dont care, gave me something to do. No tints atm as I am going to try remove the windows completely & use some good expensive tint (last few times the tints were $8 p/roll hahah yeap cheap). Always fun doing it yourself. Even if it does look crap who cares... But this time I will be taking my time so it comes out mint...

Wow. The "modify it" bug bites... then a lil bit to go til finished and than the "sell it" bug bites? Damn. So many projects just getting sold? You never get what its worth when its not finished. Finish it, enjoy it, then if you still feel you need to sell it then you know you gonna get its worth cos its complete... Same with BoostJunky...finish it then decide if you wanna sell it. I bet, once they are mint, you will NOT wanna sell it cos you will enjoy it too much... So sad EDIT: It has to be said....GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME (and ALOT of $$$)

A person on trademe is about $80+ Freight but they dont do E30 4door precuts...can you do 4dr E30's? I might be keen.

Noooo. Didnt mean dynamat...I meaning the factory crap that I just took off. I want one of those underside bonnet covers that are found on, I assume...M3s?

Will be having both sets. 14s I am going to sandblast & repaint Gloss Black with a Polished Lip (someone else on here has done it - cant remember their name?) it looked damn awesome. And will also sandblast the 17s, buff up (a bit of curbage) and then Gloss Black also. 2 sets so will 1 set each for whatever I feel like using.

Already said, my engine mount is stuffed. Was told by my mate who replaced my sump for me, said its a gonner. But thats according to him...I've had a look and it didnt seem bad but that lil shock, the rubber part has been torn off & I noticed it wasnt even bolted on - took me a lil while to put it back on (god knows how the bolt came off but it looks like the guy who done my sump took it off, put the bolt back in, but didnt bolt back to the engine)...will have to remeasure the sump height. Not sure if my shocks/struts are worn? They passed a WOF with ease & dont make any noises. If I take them out, will they be stiff or saggy if they're worn out? So I can check sometime this week. Remember: I havent taken my car for a drive yet, so the springs/struts wouldnt have settled in properly yet - been told it can take a few days of driving to settle them in fully...which may be why it doesnt look as low - yet.

Surely you dont need to sell to start saving? Finish it, make it 100% and just daily drive it. Be nothing better than showing this beast off & being proud of it...dont let someone else enjoy YOUR pride! Then starts saving for a future. But of course, your life so do what you think is best... Either way, I hope you get what you want for it & new owner doesnt ruin it.

I saw a factory under bonnet cover, think it was on a M3 E30 or something? Are these hard to find? It was a proper cover, not this spongey crap.

Already done. Found me an old blunt scraper...with a bit of force & flat scraping, it all came off. Scratched the paint but eh, who cares, just going to repaint it later when I redo the car.

Yeah is no doubt my engine sagging cos my driverside mount is meant to be buggered and the engine shock is also buggered. Im surprised the WOF people didnt pick it up - damaged engine mount = fail...surely? I also love E30s that are low. Looks hot. Dont care what anyone elses thinks. Since you removed you spring pads, it doesnt make any knocking or squeeking noises?

The 1st set of rims, werent included. And they look too 'racey" on a non-racey car. This car was made for cruising, not racing. Not even sure if it was a good idea him putting the turbo on it. But when I finally get it, going to be going for a huge engine inspection...Spec Performance in ChCh = bunch of f--kwits...sorry my Opinion.
