I'm looking to get something to help keep my e30's black leather mint and that I can regularly apply. My leather is in really good condition (for an e30) and I want to keep it that way.
Whats the best stuff out there people have used?
Anyone tried this stuff? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=430127995
Cheers

I'm after a rear black leather armrest seat for my new e30. Just need the top half and can even do a deal to swap with a non armrest item as part exchange.

I'm quite interested as I've had my eye on one for awhile now. Whats the lowest you will take?

Who shaved the side moldings?
I did as i thought it would look a lot cleaner and it does, have to really see it in person though. It was just done with newtech as there is really only a small recess.

Brand new fibreglass E46 M3 style bumper to suit E36.
These completely change the look of the boring e36 front.
Looks like it has the mounts to fit straight on and the mounts for spotlights.
I am now selling the the car which was going to have this fitted so have no need for it.
Would suit bmw 3 series e36 m3 316 318 320 323 325 328 4 door, coupe and TI's
Prefer pick up in Wellington unless you want to arrange shipping.

nice wheels, got the same on my car but with black center, to bad they rub like a bitch
Yeah if i was to "sack it out" on these rims, a guard roll would have been nice and would make them look tough but as you can see from the pics, they fitted my e36 mint.
Is it your tyres that are rubbing?

Genuine Ruff Racing R280s imported in from USA.
19x8.5 ET35 2.5" dish front
19x9.5 ET40 3.5" dish rear

Is there an actual length difference between the 2dr and 4dr e36 front bumpers?
I know the coupes are longer in the front and use a longer indicator but just cant tell if the side parts of the bumper are longer in any pics i have seen.
Any help will be much appreciated

Im looking at getting this cheap chip for my 1994 318is.
The chip is supposed to fit my model car with the ECU# 0 261 203 282, but when i checked my ecu# is was 0 261 203 281 (only the last number being different).
The guy wasnt sure if it would then work but i have a feeling that it probably would.
Any help would be much appriciated.

I could be interested. Where abouts are you.
-
Cheers, i would keep you in mind.got a full set of standard 318 spings if you want somewhere, yours for a lazy 50 buckaroos
But i would prefer trying to find some down in welly first.
-
As title says, i better start looking for some 4cyl front springs for when wof time rolls around again.
Can be lowering springs or standard ones, but MUST be captive as im still using
the orignal inserts and my springs are not quite captive.
Im also not looking at paying much but someone must have some lying around from when they fitted other springs.
Cheers.

yea i was gonna go down that route but in the end it worked out to be over $100 by the time i got some nuts, then i have to get loctite. so i thought it would be much better to source some longer bolts.have you thought of using studs? i got mine from cpa in petone
-
Which tyre shop would that be and how much were they?I got longer bolts for the race car from local tyre shop in Petone.
they were a MOMO brand in 4 packs.
I went to road and track and they had a good range and the best price i could get was $5.95 each which would be $95 for a full set.
Mag and turbo said they dont do them even after a few phone calls, which is a bummer cause it would have been good to get them for$2.50 each.
-
Ive been trying to locate some longer (5mm+) wheel bolts for my e30 but havent
had much luck.
The best thread i found here was this:
Anyone know of any other/better places I can get some (pref in Wellington) for a reasonable price (happy to pay up tp $5 each)?
Cheers,

I never said anything about my car sitting on the bumpstops. I said that it nearly is and was implying that it would sometimes bottom out onto them just like any other E30 that has been lowered and hasnt had the struts machined down to give some of the travel back. This is exactly the sort of mindless modification that has caused the LTSA to come down hard on TRUE enthusiasts.
Running on the bumpstops is dangerous, to say “Yea i dont really care about the handling too much but what im trying to do is actually trying to improve the ride quality.” has got to be one of the most pathetic, irrasponsable, dangerous to other road uses statements I have heard in a long time.
If you want to lower your car so it scrape on the road, is ill handling and changes direction from bump steer every second you drive it PLEASE make a public announcement so all of New Zealands educated people driving their families and friends on the same roads as you can stop, park well out of the way and wait for you to kill yourself. Hopefully you don't take someone elses life in the process.
Speed on brother, hell ain't full yet.
RIP:slideways 02/06
I think everyone has misunderstood what i am trying to achieve.

Yea i dont really care about the handling too much but what im trying to do is actually trying to improve the ride quality.
I will go to SAS or STOCKS and see if they could sort me out with some suitable inserts.
-
The car is quite low and is nearly on the bumpstops that have already been shortend a little bit.
I dont want to go buy some shorter inserts that will cost $$$ as i was just seeing if i could get away with cutting down some of the orignal one but what you guys have said so far is that i cant shorten the shock body???
-
I just pulled the shocks out of the front struts of my 318 e30 as i was planning to machine down the threaded collar about 50mm to gain some more travel.
But i found out that the shock runs right down to the bottom of the strut and therefor contains no packers at the bottom.
So the shock is way longer than i expected and this dosnt allow me to shorten my struts at all.
My main question here is: Am i able to cut the bottom of the shock say 50mm or so?
This is the only way i see shortening these struts could work as i know people have shorten them before.
any help will be much appreciated.
Cheers.

Thanks for that! That's good to know.
Due to its age, the leather is trying to crack so something that helps keep it soft would be what im looking for.
