  1. considering upgrading from my bus wheel

but a smaller wheel will probably be too hard to work with given that i dont have power steering <_<

Don't be silly, the momo 350mm wheels are tits, and the fact you've got manual steering is all good - not to mention it prevents retarded pussy's from taking your car for a spin.
my arms also would get a massive workout :P

but i might just try and keep my car as original as possible and that means keeping the original wheel + they have grown on me B)

  2. hey man why did you wanna go with a 318 and not a 325 or 320??

just keen to find out why ppl go for them over the 6cyls :)

i would much rather have a 323 or 325 but i wanted good fuel economy, and the 4cyls handle really well due to the fact there isnt a big lump of metal up front which makes them much nicer to drive.

i accually prefer driving my 318 compared to the 320, the better diff ratio and more revvy engine makes up for the tiny loss in power and makes it just as fast in a straight line as well as round corners. B)

  3. my 320 is just my old daily hack which ive had for over 18 months (now driven by my borther) i never bothered doing anything to it cause it aint in that great cond and kept looking around for a nice 318 which i could add wheels to etc, which i have am now doing.

  4. ahh you can lower it all round, just dont go overboard, im going to go down another inch soon so the front tire is flush with the guard. my car is currently on king lows and the camber is not bad.

yea depending on how low i go on the front ill probably just get the rear springs copressed a tiny bit.

And as deftones said it isnt shadowlined, its just hard to tell on a white car i guess, and given that i did take the photos using my digi camcorder which dosent focus properly and provides very poor quality.

  5. whats the camber like out back with the jamex's and super lows???

ive had a look at carls car and its sitting at a good height and not too much camber issues

i have connections  that can get me a band new full set of super low Dobsons (i think) for 250ish

first off i will only drop the front down to match the rear which sits alot higher than the front as is.

i can also get the standys compressed real cheap too, so i was lookin at geting another set for the front just to try out, and ill be happy with just that for the time being.

a good alarm is needed first tho, so i dont come out and find my car sitting on blocks or not there at all :(

  6. yea im having my doughts as to lowering the back too far or even at all cause i cant afford to replace the rear tyres every 6 months or less :(

i might end up just lowering the front to match the lower back

  7. the 40 profile tyres give the 17's a smaller diameter than the standy wheels.

so it actually apears to be raised as the wheel dosent fill the guards as much.

you can see this clearly in the 3rd pic

  8. Hey guys,

Ive finally got some pics of my new 318 and couple-a-week old rims

    specs are 88' 318

    5-speed

    facelift

    170kms

and the 17" cromies is all that ive done :mosh:

some kind of lowering will be the next on the list, that is if i do decide to

do it up as it is just my daily hack :D
