  1. Not sure how to find out where they're made but I had Jamex springs in my previous e30 and wasn't overly impressed, they felt too soft. I'd say it's worth investing the extra $ and getting something better. Decent suspension makes a world of difference to how the car feels on the road (obviously)
  2. Haha, ok let me rephrase - A reasonable auto electrician who will charge me for work he's done, as opposed to charging triple! And of course one who does a good job.
  3. Can anyone recommend a good and cheap auto electrician? Need someone to sort out my indicator wiring. Let me know who you use and what you think of them!
  4. Ahhh I hate these threads, I let my set of 15" weaves go for $250 with good tyres a few years because I didn't know what they were back then. Apparently they're worth a bit.

  8. My mum's considering buying a 2002 peugeot hatchback off her mate, not sure if it's a 206 or 307. Anyone got any good reason to avoid them? Anything in particular to look out for? Any other opinions or advice? Cheers
  9. No worries mate. If you have the guard just above the tyre you're gunna need some stiff springs and harder shocks. In my last e30 I tried a set of 002's and it had guards rolled and was lowered on 40mm jamex springs and it was more or less undriveable with 205/40 tyres. The only reason I get away with it on my current e30 is because of my high spring rates and hard shocks. By all means since you've bought the tyres see how you go, but you might have to roll the sh*t out of your guards and stay looking "like a hilux", because you'll probably find once you lower the front it's gunna start catching the guard on the tyre when you turn corners, which will bend the inner lip of the guard out and chip your paint. I think you should definately invest in some better shocks, some bilstein sports for example, because they'll help with rubbing when you go over bumps and they'll make your car handle so much better. Cheers for the comments on my car, put up some pics of yours!
  10. Hey mate I've got 2 sets of bottlecaps, one set silver one set black, with tyres. Some of the tyres are worn but some are in very good condition. $100 for either set. I'm currently based in greenhithe if you want to come have a look send me a PM
  11. Nice choice of wheels! I think the tyres you're running are a bit big considering the low offset, especially if you're looking to lower it. Check out my e30 with 002's, I'm running 195/45 tyres: Visit My Website I still get a bit of rub with my small tyres at that ride height. If you're not into the whole stretched tyre look and you want the extra rubber on there then I'd consider going for a lower profile tyre maybe 215/40? How low are you looking to go?

  15. Just moved/moving house so need to clear out some parts. I've got a set of four silver e30 bottlecaps with tyres. 2 michelin tyres with possibly just wof'able tread, one falken tyre with plenty of tread and one firestone tyre with reasonable tread but is flat (been in storage for a year so unsure how slow the leak is) I've also got a set of black painted bottlecaps with tyres, two tyres with plenty of tread but the other two are no good. $100 for either set A set of standard e30 6cyl springs (came from my old facelift 325i) Not really sure what they're worth so I'll say $75 for the set ? A standard cloth e30 4door interior: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=457076677 On TM for $170 but cheaper for BS, comes with all four door cards e36 half leather sports interior from a coupe (without door cards) the same as these : http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-455289155.htm E30 leather Msport gearknob brand new, the same as in my car (see showroom thread if you can't wait for pics), let's say $85 ? Sold E30 standard airbox complete with air filter $40 If any prices are unfair or unreasonable let me know, or give me an offer. Pickup in greenhithe (Other than seats, they're in Orewa). Will upload pics when I find my bloody camera cord (moving house atm) Plenty more to come when I get around to it, most of it's in boxes atm

  19. Hey, I'm still battling with my bloody right hand side indicator, next step is to pull off my front bumper to get to the back of the indicator +wiring. I've been under the car all morning and cant seem to get the bumper off! Is there some kind of trick to it? Any hidden bolts? What am I missing?! Cheers guys
