Where abouts in Auckland are you?
-
I'm after a single bottle cap wheel from an e30. Picked up a pair to use as a part swap for something and the guy's just txt me saying one is badly buckled. No tyre required, cheap as possible!
-
I'll take them. Can pick up this evening even if that suits! Pm'd you my number

Hey guys, We're selling our Coro gold tickets as well as waterways 3 day camping tickets because we've decided to join the rest of our friends and have our fourth (and hopefully final!) go at RnV. Visit My Website Happy to sell for $450 for two to BS member (or $900 for four). Edit: Probably could have put this in the FS section. Mods can move it if they think that's more appropriate.

Are you meaning that there's a bit in taupo in a particular field of work? Or in general? I've tried approaching companies, but never offering voluntary work. I suppose it would be a good way to get a foot in the door! Cheers guys

I'm after two bottle caps (preferably with tyres), I need them today if possible! Let me know if you have any otherwise I'll head up to the coast and see what Ray's got. Cheers
-
Are the floor mats genuine? Fit facelift 4 door e30? Cheers

Think I might have seen you on the motorway today, do you have a rusty bonnet now? If it was you it's looking tits!

Now we're talking - that would be very high up on my list of dream jobs! I'm very interested in modelling, particularly airflow/fluid flow. I'd imagine they'd want someone with at least a masters.. but it's worth a shot!

Yeah I've been sending my CV to many companies in the hope that when they are in need of a graduate they will get in touch. That's an idea (re:geotech engineering), not sure that I have enough Civil engineering knowledge for it, but it's always worth a try. Yeah my Dad keeps telling me that he's never got a job from a job ad, always through contacts. I've done a fair bit in this department, but I'm finding it quite difficult to think of relevant contacts - so I thought I'd see if anyone on here knows someone! Yep - that's exactly my plan if I don't get anywhere soon. At this stage I'm considering a GradDipEngineering at Auckland Uni, as opposed to Honours in Physics/Geophysics because I feel that it'll keep my options open. I definitely want to continue studying at some stage, at least for a Masters, so I don't mind going back. I would prefer to get some industry experience first though (and of course earn a bit of money in the meanwhile). Hah, sorry mate. Have cleared up some room and pm'd you!

How much did you offer if you don't mind me asking? (I'm assuming your offer was turned down?) Just so I don't waste my time!

Cheers for the kind comments guys. No reason in particular, will put some up once I've finished my cold air box. Haha yeah the paint on that front metal part was slowly cracking and peeling so I scraped the rest (or most of it so far) off as well. Most of the paint on the plastic covers is still looking good though! Yeah, there's no way I'm keeping it outside, let alone down the driveway! It lives in the garage

Thanks mate Should have mentioned - I've spent lots of time on Seek (I'm on there most days). I've tried most of the big exploration companies in Australia, but they only take in graduates early in the year (usually around March or so) for the following year. I wasn't aware of this and I only started looking into them in around June, so that counts them out until 2014! I have personally contacted many of them and they have all said that they are not in a position to make an exception at the moment. I've had a bit of a look further afield like the UK, but haven't stumbled across anything to exciting to warrant me moving there in the hope of landing something. I am still constantly keeping an eye on the Australian exploration scene in general, including oil, gas, gold etc. I've even cold called some of the smaller companies. I've just recently joined Linkedin, but haven't used it much I must admit. I need to use it more and become more familiar with it. Are you personally involved in exploration? Do you know any particular companies that currently have money to invest in a new graduate? I'll look in to what you said about Shell in the Naki. Thanks!

Bit of an update of what I've been up to: I had a (slowly) leaking diff, so I took off the diff cover: No wonder it was leaking - this is the breather hole that's supposed to allow the diff to breath under temp changes: Cleaned it all up, removed the old bush which was shot and installed my new powerflex bush I also finally got my cert sorted Here's a couple of other pics of how it looks these days, I've just got a clay bar kit so when I get the chance I'll clay it. I've done the boot already and I'm amazed at the difference! Would like to wind the suspension down a little again, but my driveway wont let me! Other things that I've done recently: -Oil Filter and Valvoline engine Oil -Redline LSD Diff oil -Front lip and bumper painted (what a hassel that was!) -Got my temp gauge working with a new sensor -Had Ray replace my clutch slave cylinder -Got some hubcentric rings (finally) Aaaaand that's about all I can think of at the moment. Enjoy!

Last year I finished my Bachelor of Science at the University of Auckland. I have a major in Physics and a specialisation in Geophysics, and the grade point average of my third and final year was 7.4 (between A- and A). I also won awards for achieving the highest grades in the course for two out of four papers in my last semester. Unfortunately I've had a hard time trying to gain employment, so I thought I'd see if anyone on here knows of anything for me! I'm interested in product development, research, mechanical engineering, energy, fluid dynamics and geophysics to name a few, so if you think you know something or someone who might be able to give me a hand please don't hesitate to post below or PM me with details. Any kind of foot in the door would be much appreciated! I'm currently living in Auckland, but open to opportunities more or less anywhere in the World (obviously benefits would have to outweigh the negatives!). I wont upload my CV here but if you would like to see it the just leave me your email address and I'll send it through. If anyone wants any more information just ask.

I thought yours was a fibreglass rep as well? Is it not?
-
I think the p/n you posted is for the emblem. I've got an e30 Msport style leather gear knob, the same as I've got in my e30 (See my showroom thread HERE) lying around, brand new still I'm pretty sure, I think it would fit but I'm not sure? Edit: just saw you're also in Auckland, feel free to come round and give it a try if you like?

Yeah man, they all have 7 night minimum stay in that period, and I've contacted them all personally and been denied. Might give it another go soon, maybe they'll be more keen to fill left over spaces closer to the time.
-
Yeah book a bach is all gone/need 7 night minimum stay, same with the campgrounds. Looking like we'll have to miss Chase and Status on the 28th and just go find a doc camp somewhere instead. Anyone got any other suggestions? Like I said, even a driveway to park in would be sweet! We could make ourselves scarce all day so we don't bother you as well.
-
Oh yeah sweet, might give that a go. I've been using 4-5 layers of duct tape along the underside, but it only takes a week or so to wear through it! And it looks pretty rude once there's bits of ripped tape hanging down haha.
-
What e30 front lip do you have? Cheers
-
Are you still doing a group buy for this Tristan? If so I'm in, number of cans depends on the price. Do you think this stuff will be suitable to protect the underside my front valance if applied thick enough? Or would it just rip off the first time I scrape (which is every time I leave my driveway)? Still keen either way, I'm sure I'll find other uses for it!
