expense.. ova policing.. cars are electronic devices these days.. folks who used to run around like crazy modifying cars etc in the old days, are now the law makers putting a stop to these activities.. maybe these things are lending to the decline... As far as this site is concerned, this place is like family... not always in touch, but there when you need to get in touch and always there when you need something, advice, a hand, whatever... so I wouldn't sweat it to much

E34 540 I SE. What should I do for brake/suspension upgrade?
michhod replied to Otagobud's topic in New Member Introductions
I drive a E34 540i 6sp, manual and sport suspension, which is factory issue, which some folk call an IS. It is in my view one of the best all round cars you can get. Good honest performance, reasonable economy, cruise all day, go for a quick sprint if required, its magnificent in red, reliable as the day is long. When I first got it I had a list as long as me arm as to the modifications I was going to do to it. A wise man from this site(true story) advised me to drive it for 6 months first, then make changes after that as and if required. Well mate I've had the car for 3 yrs now, and all I've done, is fuelled it and serviced it.. Now listen to grandpa when I tell ya, just drive the car, make sure ya got decent tyres, make sure she's serviced to schedule, keep ya money in ya pocket to spend on ya girl friend... -
Beautiful car...but it is in white. hopefully ya won't go nuts tryin' to keep her clean. good luck

a little while back the air-conditioning packed up on a E46 330 I owned. Autosure Insurance paid the full $2500 repair bill without batting a eyelid. Impressed by that

um... after a morning of intensive research into the subject of what constitutes a classic car, it appears that I have been sailing along under a misperception...the E34 is not a classic and not likely to be one any time soon...dang and blast it all

Hello, Please I beg of thee by a V8... the 3ltr motor, alltho great in a 3 series, starts being ova worked in the 5 series, especially when one starts hauling, towing, and working the thing... Anyway good luck in your search and welcome along

the e34 along with the 30 e32 all have that classic twin light, chrome grill look that makes 'em recognisable to most, as a true BMW. January next year my e34 becomes officially a classic i.e. can be registered, insured, and join the classic car club... as a classic. Classic!
