  1. I can see marks in the paint on mine where the strut brace has moved on the strut nuts. Not much, maybe 1.5mm.
  2. M50 injectors have a different spray pattern, 4 pintel, which atomizes the fuel better.
  3. Keen to order a bunch of stuff. Will post later what I need.
  4. The signal comes straight from the ECU, which uses the VR crank angle sensor to determine engine position and speed, if the sensor was stuffed, the car wouldnt run. What im saying is, we can assume the signal getting to it is fine, and its not a sensor fault, unless the ECU is playing up (unlikely). It seems to be a common problem with E30's, im not sure what causes it, if it is the tacho it self (easy to replace) or the circuit board in the gauge cluster, but dry joints / broken joints are common. A friends tacho is stuck on 6500rpm
  5. Ruts, how did I miss this.
  6. I think the majority of bimmersport needs to harden the f**k up...
  7. I should probally be nicer to people...
  8. Its not like on new year everything resets and makes everything better... I dont know why people think a certain year was sh*t....

Will get pics next time im over. Same as the M3, except mounted to the spring perch instead of the strut (didnt want to weld with the shock in there) Oh yeah.. I wonder how much difference there actually is in the timing / fuelling maps between the two. With the 405 it goes like a cut cat compared to the 403.
  10. You seem to be pretty good with fibre glass.

Had bit of a play around.. swapping around ECU's etc. the "405" ecu from an e34 goes much much better then the "403" out of the e36, not sure what the differences are but they are there. Its like a completely different engine. soon we will be remapping it

    Lost my spark

It wont have any ground until the engine is running, thats how the ECU controls it, by grounding it. If it was grounded while the engine was not running it would overheat and burnout.
  13. unless someone in tga has one i can pick up ill just get one tommorrow from brake and clutch
  14. wont be here until wednesday. nothing is open and im stuck in tga
  15. hey im after a clutch slave cylinder for a e30 getrag 240 asap. im in tga but i can pay postage
  16. A small jap turbo on a m20 would be like a giant butt plug.
  17. Not sure, Ill ask him tomorrow. If you get a gearbox that came off an m5x engine then it will sit at the right angle and you just use your original gearbox crossmember I believe (i havent used one myself). M20 E34's came out with a ZF, but that will sit at the wrong angle, so just because its a ZF dont assume it will sit right. It needs to be from a m5x car.
  18. Haha, keen to see some smoke fluro green lights for a laugh.
  19. 260 uses the same crossmember as the 240. I have a mate who is making crossmembers for them if you are interested. Same as this, but to suit a 240 / 260
  20. Yes you can, but it sits on an angle and stuffs up the shifter angle and you have to modify the gearbox crossmember or make another one.

Nah. But it dropped all its coolant again on the way home today, fooking heatercore. Edit: Also, moved the swaybar mounts from the control arm to the strut. Has made the front much stiffer and its alot more controllable in a slide (seems to be more positive).
