  1. Hey guys,

Currently working my way through the certification process on my car and as i have changed steering racks a bumpsteer test needed to be done.

Only changed to e36 rack and have spaced in the middle of the subframe and test has come back with 40mm of bumpsteer....would hate to know what some uncertified vehicles have after this change.

Has anyone here got any knowledge on correcting bump steer or any solutions, i did consider raising the steering rack which also means i need to lift the motor which will cause some driveline issues?

any help would be great so i can get it sorted :)

  2. Thanks Olaf, I'm really happy to have it finished and the look is exactly what I wanted.

Once the certification process has been completed I will be looking to bring it down and yes I will need to find a garage so will be looking for a new residence later in the year haha.

look forward to meeting you next weekend and can't wait to be able to bring my own car to the meets

  3. When I'm back in hamilton again I will attempt to get a video.....with the long range diff it's probably a little slower, could benefit from a 3.15 maybe but I have a 2nd 2.93 to build into lsd so will just stick with the low ratio.

    At a guess I think top of 2nd it's almost 100km/h

traction doesn't seem too bad with 9.5s on the rear but if you pump the clutch that disappears haha.

Can't wait to get it all legal and start bringing it out to events and meets.

  4. Time to get that cert baby!!!!!

so it's out of the garage driving, braking, loosing traction and all out being an awesome car.

still buzzing the engine package and all the changes have made this car unbelievable to drive! I'm still unsure about the exhaust noise limit but will wait for the test.

had one little hiccup along the way and popped the steering shaft off luckily we were stationary at the time but fixed that up and we were all back operational again!

so happy to finally have it completed, now just to get it to Wellington.

  5. Sooooo……I'm in desperate need of some help.

my partner whom I was relocating for has just recently split up from me so now I'm homeless :(

does anyone have a spare room or know someone looking for a flatmate or something along those lines…only short term until I can find a place.

Has really made this transition a difficult one, any help would be so awesome!

  7. Haha thanks guys for the input, looks like we are going to have to sit down and look at priorities etc (one is not leaving the 30 behind after all the hard work)....one weekend when one of us commutes.

Lucky for me i would potentially being going against the grain of rush hour traffic going to the hutt in the morning and to the cbd at night.

But really need to get this job first (fingers crossed i will find out this week) then commence the long process of packaging everything up and bringing it down. Im actually really looking forward to moving to the windy city, i really like the CBD but have yet to still explore the outer suburbs....
