    style 95 wheels

They look cool. I dont think the offset is ideal though? Will you be using overfenders, or just stock arches?

Are they for the v12 e46?
  3. Theres chocolate inside the mints.
  4. I love those weird german lollies. Did they give you free keyrings and lanyards too?

    E46 318ci

Its heavier than the m54b30 because its an iron block. By the time you add a turbo or supercharger it will be even heavier again.

I'm sure its possible, but is it worth it? If you are going through the hassle of a swap, you would be better to use a m54b30. The m40b18 tuned is still going to give less power than the m54b30 stock, and will be way more expensive to do. http://mywikimotors.com/m40b18/ There is no weight advantage either, as the m40b18 is slightly heavier.

    Which trans fluid?

I should add that one car has done 140k and one has done 200k
  10. Which trans fluid and how many litres do I need for my e46 320i and e46 325i cars? The trans in both cars is listed as A5S325Z on realoem, and I already have gaskets and filters ready to go.
  11. If you are roughly doubling the power, I suggest you do upgrade the brakes too. Even if its just decent pads. What coilovers are you looking at? If spending some coin it might be better to import these yourself to save money.
  12. If you are doing the gasket its the perfect time to do new trans oil and filter too.
  13. Thanks Jon for that. Yes, unfortunately the m62b46 motor is as rare as I feared. Back to plan A.
  14. Thanks Glenn. The x5 sump is better for my e46 conversion as it is rear pan. I will take your advice and look into bell housing profiles.
  15. I sent it thru the bmw.co.nz website, which made me chose a dealership so i chose jerry clayton in newmarket.
  16. I've sent them an email. Lets see if I get a response
  17. I wanna find out how many x5 e53 4.6is were sold in nz. I'm trying to figure out just how rare this m62b46 motor is in nz. I found data for bmw as a whole, but not individual models.
  18. No, but it enables me to check the spray pattern is working properly. I did notice some of the injectors had a very small amount of 'gum' on them, so cleaned that off manually with injector cleaner and a clean rag before running them through my rig. I'd like my trims to be a bit better so will keep researching.
  19. I cleaned my injectors too this weekend, using my home made rig and also installed new orings. Probably not as good as getting them done professionally but it cleared my lean fuel codes, and improved my fuel trim measurements. I can list the before and after fuel trim measurements if anyone is interested as I only understand the basics of them.
  20. What are you planning for brakes and suspension? Sounds like a good project

  22. I did not realise there was a 2 litre m54? Or was it a 2.2 litre "de-stroked" to 2.0 litre to meet regulations?
  23. Always use new gaskets. You dont want to do it twice
  24. Personally I went with beisan for piece of mind. Its not a 5 minute job so I don't want to do it again earlier than i have to.
