Thanks, yea I had a check on realoem too. I wonder if the msport mirrors are the same as standard. Edited to add that it appears that the coupe mirrors are different to sedan/wagon.

Yea, wiring is not a problem - its the cosmetics of the housing I'm worried about. I don't want two different styled mirrors on the same car.

Are all e46 sedan wing mirrors the same (excluding m3 of course)? I dont mean the glass itself, but the shape of the housing, as I have a broken mirror housing I want to replace.

Agree, but look at how much land per mw hydro uses, and compare that to solar and wind. For example Benmore puts out 540mw. The largest windfarm in Europe peaks at 600mw and covers 110 square kilometres. And that is just peak - because wind is not reliable or consistent they expect only 30% of that 600mw capacity - so only 180mw. They would need to be triple the size just to match Benmore.

Could you look at a bigger alternator - I know some beemers had some pretty grunty ones? Also could you change all your lights to led to lower the load when driving on a cold night?

Wind and solar are very inefficient, expensive, and generate the power at the wrong time of day for usage. Hydro is what provides the base load but the Greens dont like them.

My control arms from schmiedmann came with the necessary nuts etc.

Awesome. I love it when these cars are cared for properly. Have you done the vanos seals or the timing chain guides? I have noticed good improvements on doing the vanos seals on m52 and m54 engines.

Have you cleaned the throttle body, the ICV, and the maf? These are all free to do, apart from the costs of the cleaners, which you will use again anyway.
