Hmm, perhaps I should just get some neons and hook it up to that then Just dug up an old compy to get INPA over ADS working from serial port; set the serive intervals etc, they wouldn't set using the pin-short method for some reason.

Cheers, Yeh I think you're right about the fogs, but it seems I have a (at least) blown bulb.

So, I purchased a 95 328 coupe not long ago; low kms, good original condtion, great potential for a slight resto and resale. Now I have a bunch of car parts in the shed and spare room, many of which were original to the car. Who was I kidding with the silly notion of 'resale' I'm glad I wasn't completely sold on the default angel-eye headlight upgrade, did some more research and saw one with yellow tinted high beams; far more era-fittings and looks grouse with the hellrot red. To-do shortly is the BMW Service Inspection II, a manual conversion getrag 220 sitting in garage. Might go keyless (NFC), convert the cd stacker into a bluetooth interface. Give it a nicer rear end, spolier, subtle diffuser (cosmetic) with twin exhaust. Oh, and what manner of fury does this button unleash? It only lights when the fogs are on already, did some come out with high-beam fogs or something?

14 is just a flange nut, 13 you might be able to use an elevator bolt or one modified to suit, it depends on what is goes into/locates on.

I'll also take a set for that money.

Yeh, that's what I mean, you do that so the bungs don't crack off (thus requiring the welding on themselves). And it's the top that's on the bottom like in the vid right Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk

Cheers, not really sure what I'm looking at in that picture Michael, mines under 100k still so hopefully not cracked. Is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t2VcjLkly4 a job to do to prevent the cracking/requirement to weld around the bungs?
-
This is a welding job though? or is there a bolt in option? Put me down for a set!
-
Nah, nothing useful anyway. Might have to take my sh*t-kicking boots to work tomorrow... I'm reasonably sure it'll come next week, cos not being paid for prior work is holding up current work for the same clients.

Well to thee I say, use it wisely, and use it often. I think the more appropriate definition is for a large (and boaty handling) wagon filled with douches...
-
I'm keen. But I got some douche canoes who think payment due on the 20th means not even by the 23rd, should be able to kick them into line and get cash over the weekend though...

Doesn't have to be carbon at all, I was just providing balance for the ACM/ply/plastic that were on the materials list. If there's no welding, ACM would be the cheapest way to get something on there that'll perform as required (I'm skeptical of rigidity in those other materials).
-
I'm interested (and in palmy too); just gotta do a bit of research on suitability of that with a 328, and work required, etc. Are you in any hurry to get it on TM, or can I get back to you next weekend?
-
You wouldn't need a laminator, the carbon sheet can just be wj cut to spec same as the ali would have been, then have the fins bolted on as tab/slot/welded 3mm ali Ts. No experience making car parts, but done a lot for bikes (no carbon though).
-
ACM edges look a bit rubbish imo. 3mm ali you'd be looking 5-10kg at a guess. Were it me, I'd aim for carbon main panel, and black anodised ali for the fins, tab and slot each fin and weld tops, then bolt to carbon plate. Also worth offering carbon undertrays etc while you're down there. Vaguely interested, but not in buying as I've got the stock bumpers still.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=949032882 Just what I want! Just not what I can afford

As above. I often use snow mode to avoid the 1st to 2nd gear jatco jerk, under 100kkms and tranny oil really needs changing. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk

True, but only one of those three things actually comes with a decent condition M3... I see where you're coming from, but it'd also be nice to do a farkle here or there while saving up for powerplant upgrades.

Just replaced rears in mine with leather (e36 328 coupe so I'm fairly sure they wouldn't fit yours), better for looking at that's for sure, not sure about replacing the front with leather though, as they're rather comfy sports spec ones. I'd put leather in the same category as color, nice to have what you want but not worth sacrificing comfort for. Anything is an option if you're not a stickler for standard parts... ... and have much coin

Sorry for the late reply, follow topic seems a little different on this forum that others I'm used to. Was 4,800, was local and needed a quick buy. Thanks for the offer Toast, apparently they are more common than I thought and can just get em local. I'm currently tossing up whether to do this up to sell off as a restored stocker (value?), or do it up, mod it a bit to my tastes; with the eventual plan of rebody (M3 styles) repaint (Techno Violet looks amazing) retrans (manual + LSD) and repower, bore and supercharge.

Hey mate, my 95 E36's previous owner put a bunch of fluffy sh*t on the door card etc, so I'm pretty keen to take that lot off your hands... flick me an email to [email protected] and we'll sort it out

I've just acquired a '95 E36 328 auto, jap import, 90k. It's got the jatco jerk, but otherwise the slushbox does as slushboxes do. I'm not really a fan of them in general so may look to sell and get an M3 when funds allow... Body, interior, etc are all pretty immaculate for a car of this age, again, not the color or interio options I would have preffered though. Few little bits to fix, like dead pixels on the OBC, dead light on same (anyone imported a stockpile of bulbs for cheap?). Will sift around the site finding solutions to many of these I'm sure. Put 1000k on it last weekend, rides very nice. Anyway, here are the pics...
