My first bimmer! E36 328i coupe :)
E36_Turbo replied to Arborguy's topic in New Member Introductions
Sounds like a new and exciting chapter has begun! Good place to start...can't go wrong with 325i's & 328's, Any pics of the E36? -
I guess it's a preference thing? I always like the look more than the other styles for M3 E36, but all of them suited the E36 regardless.
-
Aha! That's the correct name, thank you for that sir! Indeed, they're my favourite factory wheel for the E36 model
-
Hi there, looking to see if anyone may have a full set of these lying around? With / or without tyres? Mint condition with minimal / or no curb rash etc, Looking for the staggered fitment, i believe "DS2" is the correct name, that's the Evo M3 wheels, preferably in the Auckland region. PM or reply to this post with pics / price etc, thank you.

Z3 steering rack or e46 purple tag? (E36 M3)
E36_Turbo replied to atlantiskiwi's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
May the journey continue with the M3 beast! At least it's in the right hands....given the power and handling of these cars...i'd be tempted to daily an M3, but i guess a weekend car becomes more desireable after a long working week -

Yeah Nick ( W.industries ) he's a good dude, have purchased a few items off him that i couldn't find else where,, has a lot of variation in parts for good prices as well. He is located right next to Hell BM, so you could get two birds with one stone haha. Look for his "wanted" ad on TM, should be able to find his contact number etc

Sorry guys i have been busy with other things and haven't updated with other exterior / interior pics, will do that shortly, also, most if not all the important info has been put in the description so potential interested parties have peace of mind, but if there's anything you can think of, don't hesistate to ask, thanks, Peter.

Do you have a contact number? Interested, also, are they in good condition?

SOLD! Well....that time is near...so i thought i'd put it out there.... Never thought this day would come...I am about to put my E36 on the market, toward the end of April, thought i'd try the BMW community first, and generate some interest if there's any, ?.... 1998 E36 328i Coupe- Auto ZF ( NZ NEW ), 173, XXX Km's, in a stunning Avus Blue paint, Registered first in February 1999. Non-Sunroof, Full Leather ( Electric front seats ), no door card sag, no rips in leather, however headlining has decided to let go of life altogether haha. Owners : 6 in total, 4 Private Owners, including myself, and 2 Companies, Finance Branch and a Car Sales outfit... Partial Service History, most of it from me ?, I have used BMWorkshop - Botany for all major services, and minor services i've done myself. Most of the major work needed for the E36 machine has already been done, it has never broke down on me once in all the years i've owned it, and with the right up-keep from a dedicated owner...it should continue to soldier on! Not even the typical "Cooling Failure" which i am extremely fortunate with the E36 prone to this. I purchased the car in December 2011, from an elderly man, whom was a perfectionist and maintained it like a show car...you get the idea... UPDATE : Anyway, it has full Bilstein suspension all round, purchased new late last year, and have travelled less than 3K km's, about the last thing i need to do is the Headlining, and Passenger Electric Seat Tilt function seems to be stuck now, so very minor, but will hopefully get these smaller things done real soon, otherwise the car is in great condition and drives extremely well. UPDATE : 21/04/2016 : "FULL SERVICE COMPLETED" YAY!! All advisories taken care of, only the Air-Con was a bit weak, and i've been told it needs regassing but as we're heading into winter it can wait, although it still functions well, that's on the "to do list", pretty much gave my arm and leg on this service LOL! all things that were significant have been done, and all the usual heavy maintenance costs that you encounter with an E36 have been covered during my ownership and previous good owners, WOF & Rego till October 2016 completed through BMWorkshop. UPDATE: 06/09/2016 29/08/2016 - BMWorkshop Botany, Air-Con Unit Re-gassed, Cam Cover Gasket seal replaced, eliminating the typical oil leakage. New Trasnmission Mounts, old ones had seen better days and needed replacing whilst at BMWorkshop. Side Notes from Maintenance Service : The slightest play in Front Left Shock, slight creak when turning at low speed, but not noticelable half the time, could be related, rather strange as they were new, but may need to look at rebuilding / replacing that one Bilstein Shock. Rear Trailing Arm Bushes are getting tired, may need attending at some stage, but hasn't been set as anything urgent. Also had resprayed the Front Right Guard last year in December after some idiot tagged it in the car park, fortunately they were honest and it was sorted out with Insurance, replaced the Panel and resprayed it at South Suburban Motor Bodies on Cavendish drive, Manukau. Looking for $6K-$5.8K, price negotiable for members ( prefered to have enthusiasts take it ) motivated to sell up and move onto other projects, Pictures will follow down below, Thanks, Peter.

E36 M3 Convertible.... Wasn't this on TM for 14K
E36_Turbo replied to jonoe30's topic in TradeMe discussions
Hmm...yeah...perhaps the current owner thinks someone would pay a premium for a vert....probably not...but it's a nice car, hope it goes to a good owner. -
Generally that's the way it is...if not found within the build specs for that particular vehicle, it is highly unlikely it would be a "mysterious" Option, you can find all the right info on older builds....so trust your gut instinct.
-
Thats a beauty of an M3...umm...probably only a foolish person will pay a ridiculous price for a car that can be bought world wide for $80k less haha
-
Saw this yesterday on TM, almost fell over haha. Such a beautiful example and that colour is amazing as always. Is it owned by a member? He is asking a high price...i'd say realistically even 18k would be approaching that OP mark, but then again...it must be a very mint example and probably well worth the extra $$$ for a potential BMW M enthusiast, if i was in that position to throw money at cars...i'd be eyeing this one haha.
-
I guess these luxury car manufacturers are going with the technological trend...they cater to the current and coming generation of drivers ( living and growing up with current tech ), most of whom probably would die without half the gadgets modern cars are fitted with, or...let the competition win them over? It wasn't long ago and the overall look and feel of a car was achieved in a rather simplistic form, design a great chassis, make an exterior that is pleasing to even none car-enthusiasts, and there you have a winner, with a strong performance package. Now when you look at most cars, post 2005- onward, it's just ridiculous IMO. But hey, i haven't driven these specific machines to even hint on hating them, just simply saying....Sometimes...Less is more? Slightly Robbing a vehicle of it's obvious potential for fun and enjoyment as a true M-machine, plus safety regulations may affect the way in which vehicles are carefully designed....anyway, they're still amazing cars regardless.
-
High priced, might be in rather good nick? Low mileage....but still...1995 is still 1995 haha. I think the price is only sitting ridiculously high because of "low km's" otherwise it is very much standard E36 325i. I don't see that selling anytime soon.
