  1. Haha no problem, and yes...hope is a good place to start
  2. Apparently not, S/A built versions also recieved the same variant, stick a magnet on a S/A M52 from an E36 and it will confirm the theory, i done a some research and also a guy i know confirmed this when he dismantled one, i checked the options and "961 special engine code" came up, which i believe it this to be that, will find it out for myself though if i get the opportunity to aqcuire one.
  3. My suspicions are confirmed, Iron Block variant, i think code 961 or something, same variant as the North American M52B28
  4. Hi all, just testing to see if anyone has / or knows of anyone with an E36 328i, South African Built version, Manual or Auto, will be considered, condition wise, doesn't have to be a show car, just mechanically sound ?, but obviously if it's manual that is a bonus ?. I missed out on the previous two which sold a few months back on TM, a Santorini Blue Sedan, and a Forest Green Vert, i am aware of the S/A built Avus blue sedan on TM, but it's a 323i, not what i'm after ( and hope to not settle on that if i don't have to ). Looking at $4k-5.5k.. PM or reply to this post, thanks, Peter.
  5. Very nice score! Look forward to seeing what you do with this example
  6. For sale, 1997 323i E36 Sedan, Silver, non-Msport, 5 spd manual. High mileage, 370km's, purchased for a conversion, unfortunately i have too many vehicles at the moment, Steering lock seized on this, passenger front window doesn't work. need to get rid of it ASAP.... It isn't the best runner, doesn't maintain idle well, but i purchased for the manual conversion, not the engine etc and other bits and pieces. After $950 ONO, current Rego / WOF, purchased just over a month ago. If you are interested, get in contact with me, you Will need to tow this away, it doesn't steer as stated above. PM or reply to the post, any other questions feel free to ask. Note: Also listed on Trademe; selling to first genuine interested party, cheers. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1113930900&ed=true
  7. Thanks sir, yes that is my fault, side tracked with everyday life i totally failed to supply some more images haha, will hopefully get something uploaded when this weather clears up during the week, cheers!
  8. No unfortunately, due to no real interest on here, wanted to do a few little things as well before listing elsewhere.
  9. Love it! And its manual as well ....i must dream on haha
  10. Hoping this isn't a black evo? 1996'ish? Anyway...irrelevant. That is some disturbing news, I know as you stated, he could've looked harder, however, these are some basic checks that should and could be done via the purchaser prior to any commitments, i will say i do not fully know where the current owner stands in terms of his rights, but...it might be a rather tough learning experience. Do feel for your friend, if it turns out to be a lemon, all the best mate.
  11. Looks like a good buy, especially if that damage described is mainly / or all Cosmetic repairs...perfect for summer cruise GLWS!
  12. Perhaps not a lot....i'd go for an Evo M3 anyday, great value for money, atm! The Roadster is slightly lighter than an E36 Sedan / Coupe M3 Evo? Can't remember....but if you were to spend wisely...a good deal on a well looked after Evo M3 would be better for the account haha, and for much much less $$$....all down to rarity and preference for M-owners i guess.
  13. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1106788020.htm A members car? Sex on wheels, funky interior combo
  14. Its a nice tidy example, hope it goes to a good home
  15. It's unfortunate, your project is awesome....it's tempting
  16. Could try looking at the fuel sending unit? Fuel level sensor?....i don't know for sure as i don't own a 5 series, but will suggest some ideas.
  17. indeed, need to bring the price down if it is to sell at all. Right now, less than $12k is fair to pay for a worn out M3. Seen too many E36 M3's in the past two years....some of which were much nicer than this, and even Evo M3's, that sold for 5-6K...less....so it begs the question...hmm...
  18. When i "was" looking for an M3, this was about $12k-ish a few years back, NZ NEW is cool, checked it out then, exterior was 5/10 not 10/10 ( could've been given a good buff up? ), interior needed a full makeover though, would be a good buy for someone wanting a track weapon ?...if only i wasn't doing other projects i'd grab an Avus Blue M3 ?...for a little less $$ though http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1105145136.htm
  19. Thanks for replying, however i'm steering in the direction of Black Leather, so will pass on the offer, cheers.
  20. I was thinking similar thoughts, unless the buyer is a collector with a big wallet...
  21. Hmm...wow these E46 CSL's are fetching high $$ now...would be awesome to own such a machine...@$148k...might need to save a few more coins haha http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1103737731.htm
  22. As the title says, i'm after a nice set of E36 Coupe Full Leather Seats, Front and Back, Manual Adjust or Electric, ( Prefer Black Leather Seats ) as long as they're pretty tidy, let me know if you have anything available, cheers.
