    Sad Day :(

Always sucks to lose a pet, sorry for the news man!
  4. No, never even realised they had TG US...anything has to be better then TG Australia.
  5. A friend of mine in Nelson, built a replica Testerossa with an AW20 donor car (will steal a pic off FB later on)... i think he said it cost about 20k all up but that Modena looks far better finished which will always add $ to the job.
  6. Yeah KG Mcleod's are a very good shop, but they are always solidly booked. So if it's not urgent these guys would be the guys you want to see.
  7. Some replicas can be appealing, but like some of you other boys have mentioned by the time this is complete it will certainly be similar priced to a 2nd hand one. a cheaper option would be too buy an old SW20 and get one of these kits instead...
  8. What sort of money do you boys reckon this is worth? 4-5K?? I'm quite keen on it but not at this price, esp for a 318 auto...but is a very tidy wee car.
  9. Yeah that's what i went with and is absolutely fantastic with GT5 esp in 3D (apart from annoying glasses)
  10. Yeah, but the ps3 triggers don't feel or respond the same as the xbox controllers do on forza or shift!
  11. Haha i think if remember this correct you did that down here, cause you and Dre had the same phone, right??
  12. yeah i agree, prefer the xbox controller for racing games!
  13. Sheeeeet ENVY That would be awesome, esp with 3 screens!
  14. Yep came on them when we bought it! We bought it off a "soccer mom" type, so she may have been wrangled into buying higher priced tyres. Will take it in too Bridgestone this weekend and get them to look at it, instead of me ringing around for re11's. cheers
  15. I don't do any track days at all, do you think these are the wrong tyres for daily/weekend driving?
  16. Was just going to post about these same tyres! I have these on the 430 and the rears will have to be replaced before the next WOF I found them really sticky esp quick windy roads...Dunedin-Queenstown...but have played every now and then which i'm now regretting, as have been quoted $925 inc gst for the two 265/35/18's, is this a reasonable price?? Although be warned, when i took this to a small garage for the last WOF they claimed they were not road legal!! They were And like Brams...any other alternatives to these? Cheers
  17. Hit up Santa Jack. He's coming soon you know! I want a decent wheel setup for it, but can't justify spending all that $ this close to xmas. Controller is good but this is def designed for a wheel. Uh huh definitely, but how about that standard GT jazz music Anyone else played it in 3D yet?
  18. 1997 - My first was similar to this cost about $3 a min, the $50 that came loaded was probably the only money spent on it...show off value mostly 1999 - Next was the Motorolla startac which was tiny(for the day) so tiny in fact i lost it down the side of a chair and found it a few years later. 2001 -This pic is very similar to my 3rd cell phone and was one of about 3 cell phones that could text. this one, *the ones with the snake game and those ugly multi coloured Vodafone ones. Trouble is i only knew about 4 people who had texting cellphones...so hardly got used.
  19. Same here, i thought it might be the sig edition, hence the more space used! Fully agree!! IMO GT5 has more of a simulator type feel wheras the other 2 are more arcade type racers, but each to their own and that blah blah blah Yep i noticed that too!! def does get better as you progress, though i hate streaming then the AI blocks as you slingshot! I think the people complaining about not having enough euros, need to realise who this games real target market(worldwide) is...Boy racers and gamers is where the big $$ is, not for the average stereo typical euro car driver
  20. that's true. would save the hassle of removing interior panels though!?
  21. My loading time isn't bad after the install, what edition of the game did you get? My install is less than 7Gb inc the update!
  22. The way i see it, if you already have a dent and are probably going to have to get panel work and respray the panel/get paint work done anyway. a few $ of compressed air isn't going to hurt. Like Antil said ^^ trying it on a junk door first would be a good idea.

    Miners

Certainly is a sad time for NZ but i guess that's the risk they take! I have quite a few relatives who live up the coast and many know those guys...prayers and thoughts are with the miners family and friends.
  24. Yeah same here, though i think it has been designed more as a simulator with wheel in mind...or that's a good excuse for struggling so far After a day and nights playing am still as excited...it's a very very pretty GT4/prologue but with GT2 sized amount of cars (too many of the same models just re-tuned IMO), same old tracks with a few new ones mainly F1, TopGear test track and AMG driving academy Nurburgring, some cool game modes, karting, rally and nascar. TBH i don't know if i would rush out and buy a PS3 for it. We'll see what you other guys reckon!
