Hey guys got some marks on my interior I'm trying to get off, tried a couple of things but nothing's really made a dent. It's some oxidation from what I assume is coins sitting for a long time in the centre console, and then some thick black gunky stuff on the sides that won't come off either. I've tried megs leather cleaner and autoglyms interior shampoo and neither have made a considerable dent. There's also some brownish dirt that seems to want to extend its welcome. Anyone have any ideas what I can use to clean this? Scared that its all stained in and will be impossible to get rid of but any ideas are welcome.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

Get a load of this one: https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3135294917?bof=eyPWe4J1 If that's the rust he is showing think of what he hasn't found -
okay maybe im also an idiot who could have been doing that the whole time

I would lock my car at gas stations if I could but the central locking locks my fuel door too.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

I realised after reading back over it it is a bit heavy on the double negatives. I'm just trying to say that it's only time before that big patch of bog will start rusting underneath and start cracking off. I've seen it happen a fair bit before, no car is safe, especially not if the bog already looks like that. -

I have never not seen huge patches of bog like that crack and rust underneath... -
I swear every e38 has the same story of "the President of BMW used to own this, I just cannot prove it" - like okay fellers, leave some buyers for the rest of our non-BMW-President-Owned cars.

This is so cool! Wish I could get this.
-
I'm sorry to hear that. Would have been cool to hear some stories and history about the car. It's at least nice to know it was owned by an enthusiast.
-
Thanks for the advice guys, will definitely take a look at it all when I get some time off. Also just figured out this car used to belong to @rxsumo on here. Sent him a message about it but not sure if he's still active on here. Pretty cool to find old pics of the car though.

Here's my 535IS, had this for almost two months now. Probably the nicest car I've owned so far and am very happy with it! It's got 340 000 km on the clock but it seems to be very well maintained, so far I've only had to fix a couple of small things. It feels very tight (as tight as a 31 year old heavy sedan can be anyway), it seems like a lot of the suspension has been recently replaced. Someone once loved this car very much and I am hoping to continue that love. Currently I am very happy with realOEM and the countless genuine parts websites online that are almost better priced than used parts anyway. I have already bought a new sunroof mechanism cover panel and a new bit of bumper trim that was missing for some really good prices. Right now I am still working on: Trying to figure out what is causing the slight miss at low rpm and under load The headlight washer system (no clue what is holding this back) Any help or tips would be appreciated. Also any tips on fuel economy or is it just always bad?

somewhere on an old phone I have a pic with plate, but that's essentially long gone now...
-
Google Street View; can't see the plate number but it looks to be black. Somewhere I had a picture with a plate number but not too sure. Don't want to post the adress because I'm sure the guy deserves some privacy. Streetview is from 2019 anway so it's probably gone by now. Guy told me something was wrong with the motor and he parked it up. I remember the window being cracked and the interior being grotty as hell. Been sitting for I think 1 or 2 years like that at that point.

It's not even a genuine Mtech? It merely has the kit, other than that is is a mildly nicely specced 325i coupe... What a price. I remember when real Mtech 2s went for like 15. -
I remember finding an abandoned e39 M5 driving around chch once, wonder if it's still around. Guy said he wouldn't take anything less than 20k and honestly thought he was dreaming but idk.

Hey guys I've got my 535i e34 and I think it's an iS but that some point during the respray someone has removed the M badging. It has full Mtech kit and such which makes me think so, I really don't want to come off as upbadging my car lol. What M badge do I need for the grill and would anyone else with a 535iS be able to take pics of where the M badge on the boot is located so I can know how to align it. Cheers

Preferably a blue one with leather but might look at other ones if they're in great nick and get it resprayed.

These people have to be taking the piss right? 15k for am m10 318i manual sedan? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2979760654?bof=gjbSG3Bd Immaculate but a seat cover on the drivers seat because its probably ripped, original shift knob missing. I mean it looks relatively tidy but come on... -
Sorry for late reply, do you have any rough prices and maybe a way to contact? Just keen on the touring I guess if he still has it.
-
Haha let me know if he has any 540 wagons he'd get rid of. Don't mind a bit of a project.

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/2902392206?bof=7HzS8hQF It's an '85 323i according to trademe and carjam but has the facelift body (taillights and bumpers) and doesn't match the original colour at all. It says it has been resprayed but can't imagine they'd put in so much work to redo the engine bay and inside the doors to me. Comes off mildly fishy to me...

Like the title says, looking to buy an e34 wagon and want to see what is out there. Preferably wide grille and v8 but I'll consider anything.

I have moved to the great big country of Europe where owning cars is expensive and daily driving classics seems to be "not done". So I've come to the point where, still having 3 cars in the Homeland is maybe not the best option for me right now. So here for sale is my 1987 320i. It's manual, and coupe and is NZ new. It's got a bit of wear and tear, but then again it's a BMW from the 80s so we can't expect everything. Most notable being the sunroof (comes with a spare), shifter bushing, seats and a spot of rust near the taillights. It's for sale on trademe for $7500: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2206179000.htm I'll say 7200 Ono for the good folks on here but any offers considered. (If you think my price is crazy and outrageous please tell me I have no idea how to price this thing. I priced it as the cheapest manual coupe but maybe that logic is wrong?) Also for sale a half decent e34 525i with the head (m20b25 head reconditioned) off for like 500 bucks, gotta get this thing outta my parents' backyard. Comes with a free bow and arrow and receipts for the head work. If anyone wants some pics of either cars just send a response so I know I've got some interest. Cheers
