Trying to sort out a wof issue. Right side rear brake is sticking on slightly, and is giving higher brake force than the left during testing. So far I have: Swapped pads side to side to check for pad issue. Cleaned, polished, and lubed the slide pins (Bentley reckons no lube but they were already lubed when I took them out) Bled brakes/ran new fluid through (only did rear) (one bubble came out of right side) Removed and cleaned the caliper and polished the piston, had a fair bit of gunk inside, enough for me to think that was the underlying issue, but that also wasn't it. I am tonight removing the rotors and swapping them side to side. I have pulled both off, and to my untrained hands it felt like there was more resistance removing the rotor on the side that was sticking than the side where it was fine. Could potentially be the handbrake mechanism I'm guessing? I'll do my best recalibrating the handbrake, but I would have figured that if it wasn't calibrated properly it would have just been less powerful, not on when it wasn't meant to be. I might be anwsering my own question with this post but in case there's no difference please do shoot at me with ideas because I am sort of at my whits end. Maybe hoses if the park brake doesn't help

Looking for a set of BBS RKs for my e34, preferably in 17" or 18". Don't know too much offset wise but whatever will work on my e34 would be nice. Cheers Quinn

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
Simca replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
Two years ago I paid 4.5k for my manual 320i Cirrus coupe. Hard to believe. -
Anyone in the Napier/Hastings area with the ability to code my e46 so the doors stop locking when I start driving it is making me pull my hair out. Also want to make it unlock all doors instead of just the driver's. Any help would be appreciated. Box of beer in it and will drive to you. Cheers

Got some splotches on the dash of my e46 of what looks like white paint. Tried leather cleaner, interior cleaner, and a magic eraser and nothing's really made a considerable dent. Hopefully anyone has any ideas otherwise I'll just hit it with more magic eraser and a good amount of elbow grease but it didn't seem to do too much the first time around. Cheers

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3260294076?bof=WeWMnkFK Genuine tech 1 kitted 323 manual sedan for 15k ono. Seems like a steal for what they're going for nowadays. Looks alright too. -
How old are the shocks?

Surely that can't end up being too big of a problem? There is enough parts to go around online still... I can find most everything I need for my 535 on FCPEuro for a good price, albeit it takes a while to get here. And if you do end up breaking something, you said it's a third car right? No worries in having it sit a bit. I say go for it, with a basic socket set, some screwdrivers and the Bentley manual you can honestly do 90% of what needs to be done on an e34 yourself. It's why I love mine so much.

Fuark me I remember when M tech IIs were like 12k. When I saw that 3 years ago I couldn't believe what I had seen. Got offered a 325i manual sedan for 4k. That is the dream now. 40k seems literally insane to me now. What happened? -
Looking for a facelift orange front passenger indicator and two clear boot lights. Also potentially one drivers side eyelid, preferebly in black, as the tabs have broken off.

It's not the guage I am worried about, it is the fact that trying to bend the metal of the arm seems to do literally nothing but chip off the paint. I'll try taking the wind deflector off but if anything it might help. Stationary it chatters the most and while doing a hundred it won't chatter at all; because it completely skips over the water like it isn't there.
-
I had a look at the arm fixture and it seems like there is no slop at all. It doesn't look like there is much room for adjustment either. I had 2 e34s before this and they didn't chatter at all, although they were also LHD so maybe that makes a difference. All e34s I've had did cut the arm into the bonnet though, classic. I only replaced the actual rubber and not the plastic arm bit itself, maybe that might make a difference. I wanted to keep the cool streamlined BMW wiper but I guess I might still have to switch. You can see here how bad the angle is on the blade, makes it perfect for wiping up, but not so much for wiping down. I'll try the graphite and putting more pressure on the blade but the main issue I think is still the angle. BMW has a tool to check the angle, though I am just gonna do the angle by eye: http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/shogun/original/windshield_wiper_adjustment2.gif This document I found says put a rag around the metal arm and bend until the angle is correct but cannot get that to make a dent at all. http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/shogun/original/windshield_wiper_adjustment1.gif

Back onto the topic of e34 535is's... I have been told that any e34 535i sold in NZ new is a "535is" if its vin starts with WBAHD12. According to the motor vehicle registry there are 20 NZ New cars left that have VINs that start with WBAHD12. That's the same amount there are e34 M5s in the country. There's actually also 26 UK import WBAHD12s in the country, this is more than the amount of NZ new ones left. There's also 2 with Japan as the country of origin and 3 from Germany but I don't know how similar these are to NZ New ones. The more you know.

Tried everything but cannot get my wiper to stop chattering on the e34 on the downstroke. Tried new blades. Tried Claybarring the whole window Put rainX on the window Tried bending the wiper arm to angle the wiper more for the downstroke Nothing has worked so far. I still think I'm meant to bend the arm so the angle is better but it hasn't worked so far and I'm damaging the paint on the arm by bending it. Anyone got any ideas?

Hey guys got some marks on my interior I'm trying to get off, tried a couple of things but nothing's really made a dent. It's some oxidation from what I assume is coins sitting for a long time in the centre console, and then some thick black gunky stuff on the sides that won't come off either. I've tried megs leather cleaner and autoglyms interior shampoo and neither have made a considerable dent. There's also some brownish dirt that seems to want to extend its welcome. Anyone have any ideas what I can use to clean this? Scared that its all stained in and will be impossible to get rid of but any ideas are welcome.

My 535is has 340k on the clock and I paid 7k for it in February. Granted it still has a ways to go before it mint but I'm hoping I got lucky.
