  2. In silver e46 #562. I would’ve got it today but was in a rush. Hope that helps someone here
  3. Hi mate pm me and we can discuss. I don’t seem to be getting notifications on this thread for some reason.

    Elias’ E30 project

Def go the e90 booster over the clio one. #1 easier to find (and remove from donor) and #2 better booster feel.
  5. Yep 8HP in both. I mean DCT to clarify its not 6HP auto. A B58 would be mega but still very pricey over here Interesting to learn the 8HP bellhousing is slightly different on the 4 cyl vs 6 cyl even though they're the same box ID.
  6. Yes, this not financially viable but I have other reasons to ask. Current car = 2013 118i DCT. Want to swap it to N55 / DCT. After a lot of research I've landed on getting either a complete wreck (which is a pain because I can't store it) or get a complete N55 / DCT / ECU / TCU from a running wreck. I can handle the install, cooling, power steering etc and plugging in but is there any other wiring / coding to consider if it's a complete drop out and drop in swap? Thanks
  7. I have a couple of projects which need minor welding / panel and paint as I don’t have time or space any longer. Not after show paint but good tidy work. Any recommendations from people who have used a supplier? cheers
  8. If anyone has any of the following please reach out: S65 complete or rebuildable S85 complete or rebuildable E9x M3 damaged with drivetrain - unfortunately missed out on the one at Manheim late last year I'm also looking overseas if anyone has any recommendations of places to check (not CoPart).
  9. These have been flying out the door for locals in NZ and as far away as Poland, Indonesia and Portugal. Go figure. Anywho, I have bulk stock of E46 versions ready to go for those who have decided to LS, 2JZ or turbo their E46's All come with installation instructions, exchange form and a quality product that looks OEM and uses only OEM parts. Note - E36 joints are getting harder to find and E30 joints are near on impossible without #bmwtax so will only be offering those on exchange basis.
  10. Thanks Brent. I'm going down the rabbit hole...
  11. Been offered a very tidy and worked E91 335i. Great spec, ticks all the boxes except it is the 6HP auto box. I've done a lot of research into the 8HP box with the likes of Turbolamik etc but as it's going into a model that had the DCT box post 2011 (?) I wonder what else is required to 'factory swap' it - ie. no aftermarket parts, all OEM. 6 speed ZF GA6HP19Z box in the car currently. I'm fine to get the parts and do the wrench work, the TCU / electronics are the hard part for me

    The Barbara Chronicles

Great to see it on the car @Vass- I rarely get to see the finished product in place as they go all over the world. Very tidy build, well done!

    Purple tag rack $280

Seems rather OTT. I've had 300km+ cars with no rack change. There's not much inside the racks so it could actually be your inner tie rod rather than the rack itself.

    Purple tag rack $280

It would as the Z3 is based on an E36 chassis and the purple tags are from E36/E46 chassis, BUT the Z3 should be a blue tag in which case there's not much benefit for you.
  15. 1x available, no outer tie rods. Available for pickup in Auckland after 16th Nov. Pm me if you’re keen.
  16. Bump, also now have 'in stock' options available for those without exchange units.
  17. Looking for a new project back in the BMW world. Some options - - E46 M3 rolling body (not the $8k wreck on trademe...) - rego on hold. - E92 M3 - write off with engine - no rego needed - E31 840ci - non runner / high kms / body work ok as long as it has rego on hold. No 850ci's please. I'm not looking for running mint cars. Appreciate these aren't generally sitting around but if anyone has leads let me know
  18. If you have one / some taking up garage space PM me; I'm buying for $20 plus postage. Buying up to continue to provide slim steering conversion joints. Cheers
  19. Expanding from e30 joints to now cover e36, e46, z3, z4 etc. These are a really nice super slim (20mm wide) unit which has BMW OEM ends grafted on as shown and have a 40mm collapsible section. Great for turbo swaps, larger manifolds, engine swaps, v8’s etc. $150 each plus shipping. All are built to order to ensure the length and ends are 100% match. As with all brake and steering items these are used at your risk. PM me to discuss your requirements
  20. Google’s not helping me tonight, so I’ll ask here (smarter people anyway) Did NZ get the 3 door 1 series aka F21? I’m looking for one for a project. Plenty in the UK, and they’re cheap as chips. While also being as salty as chips… tia
  21. I have personally had no issues with a VTNZ WOF in the past, but that isn't a guarantee! If you're interested PM me. In saying that, the coupler bushing isn't hard to replace and you can do it without disconnecting the joint from the firewall or rack if you're careful.
  22. Yes I do and I can make one to supply but all risk to get it to the correct length will be on you - I can supply instructions however. PM me if you want to discuss further
  23. @Autobahn I've updated the post with more details, PM me if you're keen. @ethane30 I've replied to your PM. Cheers
  24. A long while back I picked up a purple tag rack that had a crack through the housing - as pictured. Over the last week I've put all the purple tag insides into an E36 housing I had lying around. Took the opportunity to check, clean, regrease all the seals before reassembly. Now it's done I don't actually need it, so rather than putting it back on the shelf I thought I'd offer it to Bimmersport peeps. Comes with the original purple tag as shown in photos and E36 inner tie rods and E46 outers. The only difference in housing between the e36 and e46 is the breather pipe across the top. Pickup Howick or can freight $25 to main centres. If wanted I can include all the E36 and E46 pieces not used.
