Exactly what I was looking for thanks for your help. A few of those were done when the UUC short shifter kit was put in relatively recently so I won't do them all. Hadn't thought of getting replacement gaskets and whatnot for the exhaust and replacing the transmission mounts. Appreciate it.

The clutch in my E46 M3 is on it's way out and has been for a little while (no slipping just the bite point gradually shifting up over time.) Been budgeting and planning on replacing it since I bought the car as it's on it's original clutch at about 165,000kms. More and more I'm thinking I might do the replacement on my own just to save on costs a little (still undecided). Looking at replacing both the clutch and flywheel. I've got a small list of parts pulled together that I'm looking at replacing when I do the swap pretty soon such as, a bronze pivot pin, pilot bearing, clutch release bearing is included in clutch kit, replacement fly wheel bolts and guibo maybe? Is there anything else I should look at replacing while I've got the transmission out? Any tips or things to look out for from someone who has done it before?

All good if you're not looking to split it down further, but are you willing to sell the fuel rail separately?

Love the wheels. I'd kill for a set of gold lms on my M3 but they seem ridiculously expensive to get here. Had a company quote me 2500 per wheel.

Not a thread but I can take some pics. Just talked to ray and reinforcement plates were done. Just not top mounted bar. The only unanswered question I have is that there is heaps of weird fibre glass moulded on top of the subframe area? Might have been something done during the repair.

Just had a look on the CMP product page, do you have the topside beam kit and the front mount extension kit or just the topside beam?

Yeah hopefully it's not urgent. Ill talk to ray and find out exactly what was done to my car and if he recommends any further reinforcement.

Definitely agree. Though, the receipts I got with the car show ray carried out a subframe repair on my car in mid 2017. If there is damage hopefully it's minimal. I'll start looking into the CMP kit now, cheers.

How much was that top mounted kit if you don't mind me asking? HELLBM did the subframe on my car before I owned it but ive heard it is worth doing a top mounted brace as well.

Sure isn't. That coupled with there being orange peel on the passenger side front fender and the rego being re-registered I would hazard to guess this car has been in a big crash in it's history.

NZ Post only quoted 75 for shipping to the US but whether shipping it back is more expensive idk. That does look very tidy though, might have to consider it.

Yep definitely don't trust my stitching ability haha, and being that the cost isn't crazy think sending it away is maybe a good option. That being said not quite sure how shipping works. Was told shipping there and back was my care? not too sure how to ship something back from the US so I'll have to look into it.

Did you do the exchange process? How long did it take?

Looking to do a full interior refresh on my M3 pretty soon, in particular having the handbrake, steering wheel, dash trim and a few other bits wrapped in alcantara. Found the company Coby Wheel (https://cobywheel.com/) that offer pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Has anyone purchased anything from these guys or done the exchange offer they have? Is there a local NZ alternative that specialize in this kind of thing that I could compare pricing with, as shipping to the US and back could pile up costs pretty quick.

Thanks mate! Been an incredibly rewarding car to own so far though it's still pretty new to me. Owned for about 8 months now and haven't looked back. 330 Coupe is still very cool imo, got a friend in the market for one right now though I don't like his chances until well after everything has calmed down.

Today finally tackled the ugly blue titanium tips on the end of my M3's backbox. The agency power boxes come with only one option for tips, that being a burnt titanium blue finish. Little bit too racer boy for me however one came up recently on trademe for cheap and it was a V1 version of the agency power muffler which is pretty rare. Couldn't pass it up, the downsides being a bent flange and the ugly tips. With all the extra time in the quarantine, today I decided to drill out the rivets, take the tips off and see what I could do about the blue. Set up with a wire brush wheel and it came out awesome! Also seems the agency power logo is etched into the titanium so even after taking the blue finish off, the logo remained. Bonus. Pop riveted them back on with slightly bigger aluminium rivets I had lying around. If I had known it would come out this good I would have taken a proper before and after. Tips are still a bit wonky as is expected with early AP section 3's but major improvement.
