Have 6 Dunlop semi slick tyres for grabs, 4 are fitted to BMW 5x120 16" wheels which come free Tread is around 1 - 1.5mm so probably won't pass WOF but ideal for open days and track days Tire size 225/50R16 from what I remember, will confirm later Looking for around $230 for all 6, will not split Located in Remuera Auckland

I live in Remuera/boarderline Ellerslie and travel 4km - 5mins to the current BP office, would the new location matter much to you? I also heard Penrose mentioned so potentially Ellerslie, Remuera, One Tree Hill, Greenlane, Royal Oak are all pretty close. Mount Wellington, Otahuhu, Penrose, Panmure would be the ghetto option but not all parts are bad. If the office went to Newmarket then look for Epsom, Mt Eden, Greenlane, Grafton These are all pretty much within 5 - 10km with Mt Eden, Epsom and Remuera being the $1m+ areas, others 600k+

You're not part of the BP relocation are you?

The biggest difference is the font used especially the number 0, as I found out when I had mine confiscated. Don't think there's a database on who has approved euro plates. Most seem to get caught on the northern motorway on the shore, but as you're in BOP should not be a problem

Voltage drop not triggering reverse camera relay
blonky replied to jcerecke's topic in Electrical system
Just a thought...if the relay is wired inline (series) then maybe the voltage across the relay is too low since it has lower resistance than the bulb; wired in parallel with the bulb would fix that EDIT: And also isn't it the ground of the bulbs that are switched, ie the hot wire (+12v) is always hot so if you tapped it with the relay and wired the -ve from the relay straight to ground, won't that short across the bulb? -
Late reply but 45mm is still too big of a gap even for the coupe? My coupe leaves 10 - 20mm from the top, sounds like it needs to be reset - opening the window and holding the down button for 30s then wind it back up The other way it worked for me was to lock the door with the key and hold it in that position for 30s or so until the windows wind themselves up

Voltage drop not triggering reverse camera relay
blonky replied to jcerecke's topic in Electrical system
Most automotive relays I've come across don't actually need 12v to trigger - somewhere around 8v is enough, so might be worth buying a new relay with a lower pull on voltage rating. If you ran a capacitor you could run the camera directly from the light power source as it should deal with the check spikes but you would be likely drawing too much current -
Thought M-sport body kits and M-spec suspension are two different options...
-
Same with me but it would come up with Error 403

My understanding is that both smooth and texture versions were OEM on the E36 M models (and Mspec kits), there was a transition in late '95 to the textured ones

You need to open a Castrol account - on mine I can get a 5L bottle of 5w for $20...

Easiest way is to buy a good used one from a wrecker, they sell for around the $120 mark. To remove you just need to unscrew your visors and grab handles, remove lights and sunroof control, remove the A and C pillar trim (helps a lot but not necessary), then pry it out from around its edges. Then you can maneuver it out the drivers/passenger door
