Yeah, cosmetic things are different. But main drive line and suspension parts (things that might actually break) are the same. Anyway, all of that's changed on yours anyway
-
Most of the parts though are the same as other e30s.... So not really that hard to find. Unless you're talking about e34 m50 sumps. .... Lol
-
The sumps are hard to find. That's why they fetch good money. As said before, supply and demand
-
Just because they are $9 at pick a part does not mean that is the going rate for them. It means if you're first in and get it for that price, count your self fkn lucky and hock it off on the forums for $250 for some quick beer money on the weekend. Why does the ECU need to be post 1997? EWS is easily disabled if that's what you're trying to get around.
-
How did you go about that, and was it much hassle?
-
Lol got banned from that festering shithole. Will try and find it. Cheers

Looking for a getrag 260 if anyone has one.
-
A bit of destruction on a sunday arvo. RIP 3rd gear.
-
Stupid v band clamps, sick of trying to stop them from leaking.
-
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1icmHBp2XQ Is this the classic getrag rattle or something more ?

Red is better at night, doesn't deplete your night vision as much. That's why it's used in ships and stuff.
-
Yeah check what it's like with suspension close to fully compressed as that's where it will be when you have your foot up it and the cvs will last longer the straighter you can keep them, especially with the extra torque
-
May have one, will check in the morning.
-
Thought that might of been the case. It just puts your CV joints in your axles on a dumb angle. Lowering your car makes the angle worse, moving the subframe up makes it better if you move the diff with it. But spacing the diff further down makes it even worse again. Studs are nice idea though.
-
Why the spacers for the diff?
-
Went to take it for a burn up the drive the other week and with any revs it would die and stop, and get worse the warmer it got. Found an intermittent cam shaft sensor issue, found the cam sensor wire had partially come out when I had been doing the wheel sensors. All running sweet again, time for more tinkering and get out on the track more often

Olympia motors. Cant find their facebook page now though.
-
Bit of a tidy up this morning. Still a mess but much better than it was.
-
Theres a workshop in hamilton that I saw advertising on facebook that was doing exactly this, you can hire tools etc as well. We have a couple of hoists here we let people use as well, but not much help if you're in Auckland.
-
For a quick fix you can drill a hole through it and stick something like a m6 bolt through it. That will lock it up, have done it on a few paddock bashers
-
Thats what I ran on the m70 with stainless braided hose and had no problems at all.
-
Pretty sure its remote already, just like the M70 and M62, easy enough to adapt some longer lines to it and do what ever you want.
