Today I tryed dyeing my interior using Dylon fabric dye from spotless - read about it on here I think awhile ago. On the pack it says it is not for use on polyester / synthetic fabrics which I think the E32 interior is, but I bought it anyway and thought I would give it ago since other people online have had success (prob using different dye). There was another brand there specifically for synthetic materials but they had no black - I have no desire to dye the interior of my car rain Forrest green. I started with the boot but the dye does not seem to be sticking to the fibers and is not very dark, seems to have made the boot carpet more blue / purple than anything - I suspect it wont last long and will prob wash out so I am going to re do it with VHT. Waste of $20 and an afternoon Ill grab some pics tomorrow when its dryed a bit more.

E36's dont do much for me sorry. The second to last fly-by in the first vid is cool as! M6x would def be cool in an E30. But my E30's engine bay is already spoken for and I think 1 E30 is enough! Definatly going to look more into doing an E28. Engine and box is going to be coming out of the E32 next month and ill re-do all the seals / gaskets in it and check out the timing chain / guides as it seems to be making a bit of noise up front then it will be time to sort out a gearbox arrangement.

Picked up an M60, not entirely sure what I want to swap it into yet but a few ideas been throwing around about putting it into an E28 with turbo 350 or 400 trans (cheap / indestructible) and a eaton m90 on it later at some point. Other cars / ideas worthy of m60 swap?

Performance fuel systems
polley replied to Andre3000's topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
I ended up going with a walbro pump as the bosch 044 which I intended on using will not fit in the tank. M50B25 60lb siemens injectors Standard lines / regulator The standard regulator is fine, i'm not sure why you would want to run an aftermarket one unless you are running huge fuel pump(s) and the regulator cannot return enough fuel at idle / low engine loads. What's your power goal? For anything less than 500~ hp you only need bigger injectors and fuel pump really.. the lines are big enough as they are. -
4.45 makes for brutal tyre shredding.

Is that a sewing machine?

Yeah, I agree that motronic 1.3 may be a bit primitive but it gets the job done. However people have managed amazing things on stock management on newer BMW engines, even older engines like M50's people have done cool things with the ECU's... 600-700hp and anti-lag just by rechipping.

Well yeah it is not hard to do, I had all the same issues with my E30 M50 swap and using a getrag 240.

Its gonna be a pain in the ass. Your transmission is going to be on the wrong angle making it impossible to fill your gearbox with oil while it is in the car unless you fill it through the breather (it leans towards the filler hole). Your shifter is going to be on the wrong angle, and you need to modify or build your cross member (which needs a cert $500). And you possibly need to lengthen your driveshaft if you cant find one that will fit.

They are 27C~. I dont see why you call BMW engine management a turd.

To seal the back plate to the carbon no doubt.

Not far, just enough to turn it. Watch the bonnet dosent fly open and smack you in the face.
-
It's actually a slot you can fit a flat blade screwdriver into, you then turn it and it pops the bonnet. Once used that trick to pop someones bonnet and swap there plug leads over

Works on my E32 on drivers side. Cant remember the exact technique, but its simple as.
