You need to take the gearbox off to get at the rest. (bolts 8 and 9 I believe).
-
Just wondering how are they better? The torx ones don't fail do they?
-
Yeah, it's not worth much broken. Yeah, but I dont think they will be able to tow it over the kaimais, and I'd prefer not to tow it that far anyway.
-
Oh right, forgot to say. Its a 735i. M30.
-
Sounds expensive Dont really have a suitable vehicle to tow it with. Gearbox is wrecked already Yeah, I have thought about converting it, but it is quite nice having an automatic car, easier to drive and eat burger king etc. Right, on a more serious note. I believe the gearbox in it is a 4HP22EH, I have another one of these from an E30. Providing the electrical plug is the same (i've read there are some differences between them), is it possible to swap the front half (bell housing part) from the e32 one to the good e30 one.

So ive managed to destroy all foward gears in my e32. I need to drive it approx 150km, somthing I dont want to do in reverse. Cam I just drill and tap some holes in the diff, turn it upside down, effectively giving me 1 foward gear.

Has it been certified?

Mine is not a snug fit at all, any sort of acceleration and it would fall out!

I've got the 4 hole 2-1/16″. How do you plan on attaching yours? I dont like the idea of glueing it in.
-
Not sure, we named it pengu and let it go.

Got some mussels, oysters, a crab, and a penguin.

They will most likely know what you are after if you just show them, but you can check the part number at www.realoem.com

Just buy some new ones from a BMW dealer, they are probally $1.50~ each or somthing silly. No point using old / second hand ones.

Get your multimeter and connect one end to a good earth, connect the other end to the main battery feed on the starter, you should have battery voltage there. Next connect it to the black/yellow wire (black with yellow stripe), get someone to try and start the car and check for voltage there. This wire is the one that activates the starter. If you are getting no voltage at the black/yellow wire you will need to trace it back and make sure it is not broken or become unplugged or the ignition switch is not faulty. Has your car been converted from auto to manual? Does the starter make any noise at all? Clicking? As said, also check the grounds from the engine to chassis.

Images need to be 800x600 or smaller.

See if you can get the charge dropped to somthing else, then you could go for diversion.

I've read abit about how turbos increase power In engines but is it possible to have a turbo setup that actually reduces power as I'm worried about my auto trans in my e28 m30b34. Can you have like a reverse impeller forcing air back out the intake pipe and pushing some of the exhaust back into the combustion chamber. Any of u guys can recommend a tuner who can make it have less power than I had in NA form with a turbo setup thanx

Id buy half a dozen souped up jet skis and hoon around the harbour pissing the harbour master off with a bunch of mates. I would then use the remaining money and shout everyone hookers and blow.

Put me down for one. PM me your account details. Cheers.

Does anyone know how much urethane is affected by heat? I dont want my down pipe melting it / catching it on fire.

A 325i is heaps fast enough for a 17 year old. You can easily get your self into trouble with just 170 odd hp

No. I dont need to drive it to dislike it, it could be the best / fastest car in the world and I still wouldnt like it. Infact, Im not a fan of any 'super' cars, veyrons, lamborghinis etc. Even if I had the money to buy all of them, I dont think I would buy any one of them. Having the latest electronics and tech is not what makes a car awesome to drive (for me). I also dislike the shape of the car.
