no, your right. turbo's were not standard on these cars from factory. will be on the pleading matt before the committee at sum stage soon.but now that the 'rules' have been widened to include alpinas,hartge etc, it should be straight forward. altho, i could build a meaty oil burning diesel turbo version. e39/e34 535td into a an e28 could be the most interesting thing on the track not big HP's but 1000's of NM giggles, m

hi, have a good running 535i that now needs a new home. will post pics later.has new warrent and will get more rego sometime soon. 226 miles.high k's but well looked after. previous owner bolted on a new head from BMW.also fitted a new radiator. auto trans was serviced by me last feb. came back with a excelent report, overhauled at some point. colour white,blue cloth interior. drivers seat worn,but not shagged. no major knocks,just a few light battle scraps. $1800

hi all, just seeing if anyone on here is keen for some adaptor plates i'm getting made to fit 330mm disk and brembo 4 pot calipers off the e38. the more get made the cheaper they are. no $$ indications yet as its early days,but not that much involved. made to fit the e28's,e34's and late e24's could be a worthy upgrade for the race series.... round all weekend,working on the race car.so welcome for a chin wagg must bring liqiud refreshment cheers marty

Hi all, have a front set for sale off a e34 540/e32 735. calipers have reasonable pads still and disks and brand new. bought them for the e28 race car,but have gone different route. $220 also have e32 rears, condition unknown,still on the car. anyone keen of the both sets,$260 good bolt on upgrade for the e28's,late e24's and e34's. they work well,including on the track/race series. no dreaded brake fade etc.and cheap pads etc plenty of other bits cheers marty 021 438 735

actually,i've got several m30's two piles over

its time to clear out sum stuff. the e28 race car now had the 3.7 m30 out of the e34. unfortunatly the manifold that i made up wont fit the e28 chassis. its a complicated peice of metal,but flows extremly well. desingned for a 50mm wastegate and T4 turbo flange. will fit any m30/e34 configuartion. has been HRT coated and retains a lot of heat,good for flow etc down pipe stays with it.actualy if some whats the exhaust,that can go also. the intake is also up for grabs. have engines (3.5/m30) so if someone is keen for a half desent tubo setup, i can surrply most of the hard wear. manifold (hot) $500

Hi Max i just had a m30 clutch plate resurfaced with kevlar,full face,not puk style.Easier to drive round town. and pressure plate fingers 'retentioned' up to 2400lbs. will be a good upgrade for the SS upgrade and grip awesomelly with the increased torque. wont be going ahead with the plans i had in mind $600 cheers marty

Hi all, after some carefull thought,its better to lift out the 3.5L high compression (10-1) engine. no smoke and runs orsome. has had work over the years. due to obsesive pervious owners. comes with standard e28 loom and ecu, or if you prefer, e34 loom and ecu which is great for re-mapping etc when this lump is in your race car. can surply a e34 sump if your engine bay needs it $800. cheers marty

i do sympathize with your situtation,and have no real answers, but our company does about 25K worth of insurance a year as a farm package. as such are able to 'pull strings' when new cars come and go thru out the year.(mainly me), (drives the old man up the wall)(dont tell him i said that). Qiute reasonable insurance rates. You could 'join the company' and be part of our 'farm policies' to get some great rates. just another option if you run out of options cheers marty
